Chimmy's Corner

Folks, this is Chimmy and I have a doggy dilemma. My fur. MY FUR. IT'S WAAAAY TOO SHORT!!! GrandPa took me to the groomer this week and Ms. Groomer butchered my beautiful fur. MY SEXY MANE! It felt like I lost my mojo. I don't look fierce at all, I feel naked.

I look like weird looking Deer, but I do feel super light! I probably lost 5 lbs!
See this was me before the evil haircut. I look very sexy here. Unlike Mum who dyes or cuts her hair when she is bored or depressed, I like my hair long because it brings out the sexiness in me. Getting a haircut makes me sad and depress :(
Yet I am thankful that my family still loves me the way I am. I still act the same, I still bark whenever I see a bird in the backyard and my fart smells the same *sniffs butt to confirm*. I am thankful that my family still gives me hugs and kisses despite me looking like a weird Fox. It's just fur, right? It will grow :)
Ok, Mum is gonna read me a story from this book.

Have a good weekend!

Chimmy's Corner

Oh hey there people. It's been a long time since Mum let me express my wuff feelings on her blog. She's been selfish *licks paws*
While she was busy working, traveling the world and baking, I just lay around all day... sleeping underneath G-Ma's bed, snuggling with my little pink porky.
While Mum is busy doing things, I like to just guard G-Ma's room, just being my lazy old butt, by the door, farting around until G-Ma gets mad.
Sometimes I like to pose with G-Ma, who's a slight camera whore. She likes posing in the grass with me, of course, after I pee and rub my wee-wee clean all over her jeans without her knowing.
Also, I like to listen to G-Ma and Great G-Ma gossiping. My opinions count, you know.
G-Ma loves the computer, especially her Facebook, sometimes more than me... So to distract her, I just go close to her and fart on her until she gets really mad and I just smile. This is my not guilty face.
Then when Mum is around and just lounging on the couch, I like to challenge her on a staring contest. I win all the time. I give her a fierce & intense stare. I see her soul.
But of course, I love when Mum takes me for a ride in her car. I feel like Meaty the dog in this video clip. It's indeed The Best Day of my Life

Well til then non-furry human. I'm going to continue and lay & fart around my castle.

Chimmy

Chimmy's Corner

Chimichanga is acting up lately. One day he'll eat like a maniac, another day he will fast. And then fart. Stinky.

Anyways, there are 2 animal related videos I want to share because it is good.

An update with my upcoming Bali trip, my friend, Helga, and I already got 50 dog bowls and 50 collars to donate to BAWA Bali. Super excited. We will eventually buy the dog foods locally once we're in Bali. We are still in need of used towels and blankets, so for anyone who are interested in helping, please let me know :)

Chimmy's Corner

You may not know (or may be know) that Chimmy has a GF named Hawkeye. In a Pomeranian's world, they make a sexy couple.

Princess H just got a haircut lookin' like Chimmy and of course little Ol' Chim got excited and wanted to do some poses for Princess H.

After several takes, he settled with this one...

Such a stud. Super stud.

Chimmy's Corner

Hey Ho! Time to share some great animal stories/pictures!

via
via
This video caught my attention and I couldn't stop replaying it. This is to know that dogs have feelings too. They see you as family. Treat them with respect. I've been reading comments regarding this video stating that the dog is probably sick with heart-worm (I'm not familiar with it) and he's hyperventilating due to the disease. Either way, the sight of the video brings a tear to my eyes.

Meet Peter the Elephant. He went cray over the Green Piano.

And of course the dog that wants a kitten. Too funny.

Hope you have a great weekend. You better! And of course love your pets!

Chimmy's Corner

Ruff Ruff (Hello Hello). FurBall Stinky Butt, aka Chimmy, here to share you 3 amazing, tears-in-your-eyes videos. You have been warned.

First, is a pretty sad video. It's a Mama Dolphin in Dana Point who mourned the death of her calf :( She carried her calf on her dorsal fin and continued to swim. Not only that, she was guarded by other dolphins as she mourns. It's like a Funeral was in process. May Mama Dolphin find her peace.

*grabs tissue*

Second is a video of Mama Cow, Karma, who was saved by the nice people of Gentle Barn. At first they were confuse on why Karma kept on crying and crying... to find out that they saved Karma, but left her baby calf behind. Being the awesome them, they manage to save her calf, who was in shock and in hunger, collapse as he/she was brought next to Karma. Baby Calf immediately went to Karma and drank her milk.

*blows nose, grabs more tissue, and rolls around the carpet*

Third is a story of 2 elephants, Shirley and Jenny, who were brought to America as Circus Elephants, but then got separated... and got reunited after 22 years. It was soo sad to see Shirley's caretaker saying goodbye, but also glad that he's relieved that Shirley will never be in chains anymore.

Bonus point.

Remember when Japan got hit with the mad Tsunami? A lot of people affected were separated with their furry friends. Luckily for my brother here, he was saved (God bless you all rescuers) and was reunited with his Mama. His face tells it all on how happy he was.

*wags tail*

So all 4 videos have one thing in common.

Animals HAVE EMOTIONS.

From happy to sad to mourning to sympathy to fear & stress... THEY HAVE FEELINGS.

Not only that... They can sense your emotions too! If Mother is mad, I can sense the stress she has, so I try not to bark as much... (Mother: LIAR!!!!). If Mother is not feeling well or when she's sad, I sit next to her and give her lots of kisses... and try to act cute... (Mother: Aw so true!).

Us animals were created to be your friend. Not your enemy. So please be kind to us. Animal Abuse is not acceptable.

With that being said, please spay and neuter your pet. Because that's what Bob Barker said. Oh and get microchipped. I did it and I feel safe :)

Now excuse me as I piss of Mother by peeing on her Macbook cables.

Ruff Ruff,
Chimichanga

Chimmy's Corner

Hi Fellow Animal/Dog Lovers. While my Madre is overseas stuffing her face with Tapas and Sangrias (she's in Barcelona now), I'm gonna take over.

When I say take over, I'm literally taking over with segment with pictures of me. I'm cute and I know it.

Bitch, don't hate me because I'm fabulous.

I can't wait to see Mother. I hope she brings me some French doggy goodies for me to munch on.

let me pee on your couch,
Chimmy

Chimmy's Corner

Before I introduce to y'all an amazing Animal lover... There are a few words from your host, Chimichanga aka Boyem aka Stinky Butt Butt aka Chimmy.

So uh haayy people. Here I am in the mini hallway of Grams and Mother just got me some In & Out hamburger. She usually feeds me only the meat & 1 bun, then treats me with the other half of the bun. I love to guard my bun. Bun = Bone. Don't you dare try to take that bun away from me.

Mother is being a prick and is threatening me on stealing my bun. That's when I act like I'm a big werewolf and show her my fangs. I am a Fierce Pomeranian, you know. Time to find a hiding place.

I don't know y'all. Should I hide it underneath Grams's bed? I get all Kujo when Gramps takes out the iron board from underneath. I think he wants to have my secret stash. Oh well. I gotz to find a hiding place!!!!!!
Such a smart dog, isn't he? Super Brat I say.

Well Meg from Borrowed Heaven has a great story to tell you. She loves cats. I love cats too despite being a dog person. I'm sorta allergic to cats though. Boo. I love seeing dogs and cats together...

from here

Hi everyone!  I'm Meg and I blog over at Borrowed Heaven.

When I first saw that Rima was doing a weekly "Chimmy's Corner," I knew that I wanted to join in.  Growing up, my parents and I always had cats.  Over the first 18 years of my life, there were 10 kitties in my life.  From my first cat, Robin, who slept in my crib with me, to my parents' youngest outdoor cat, Jose, we have a lot of awesome cat stories.

The funniest one is probably that we always named our cats after baseball players.  It started with Hall of Famers, but most recently the names have come from current New York Yankees players.  Ready for the rundown [in order]?

Robin [Robin Roberts Yount]

Ernie [Ernie Banks]

Scooter [Phil Rizzuto]

Mr. McCovey [Willie McCovey]

Stanley [Stan Musial]

Fergie [Ferguson Jenkins]

Robbie [Robinson Cano]

Bernie-Johnny [Bernie Williams and Johnny Damon]

Hideki [Hideki Matsui]

Jose [Jose Molina]

Yeah, that's a lot - I know, but they all hold a special place in my heart.

But the real purpose of this post is to tell you about the love that adopting cats [or dogs] from a shelter can bring to your life.  Each and every one of my parents' cats were strays; they have never "purchased" a cat.

with Robin when I was 2

When my parents bought their current home, before I was born, they brought Robin with them [who had been adopted from a pound].  But by the time I was in 2nd grade, Mr. McCovey was our only cat [follow the list above, if you'd like].  We knew we wanted another, and we had never had a orange tabby before.  We called our local shelter and they told us that they had an orange tabby that was just brought in.  [See, you can usually even pick out a type/color of cat you want at shelters!]  We immediately went to see him.  He had been found stuck to a tree by his collar and hadn't eat in days before he was brought in.  He was soooo skinny, sick, and only 8 weeks old.  But I thought he was perfect!  The employee took him out of the cage and he came to me immediately.  Now here's the fun part, he also shared that cage with the runt of a litter that was born at the shelter.  The employee said that no one wanted this cat because he looked like a cow with random black and white spots.  We were only supposed to go to the shelter to get the one, orange cat, but when the black and white one jumped into my dad's arms, we knew we had to take both.

with Fergie and Stan

They lived happily with McCovey for a few years before he passed away, and my family and I loved having just 2 cats: Stan [the tabby] and Fergie [the cow cat].  That all changed one fall day during my junior year of high school.  My parents' home backs on acres and acres of woods.  It's really beautiful and one day, three little faces appeared on our back porch.  They were only 6 weeks old and so beautiful.  We started putting out food for them, and tried to pet them, but they were very skiddish.  After a month or so, it seemed as though two of them said to the third one, "Go check it out!  See if these are nice people!" because one of them wanted to come inside.  Well, of course we are, and slowly but surely, after Robbie took the first step, Bernie followed him, and Hideki came inside a few weeks after that.

Just look at these faces.  So many cats like these are found every day.  We were lucky enough to be able to keep them, but so many are brought to shelters and need homes.  They are so sweet, loving, and just want a family!

Bernie-Johnny, Hideki, and Robbie
But seriously, how could you say no to them?

I know that people are sometimes skeptical of shelters, but I can honestly say that shelter cats are perfect and you should always consider adopting an "unwanted" stray before paying for a "top of the line" breeder cat.

So, that's my story.  Of course I couldn't live without kitties, and unfortunately I was unable to bring my 16 year-old Stanley to my new home when I moved away, so now my boyfriend and I have one kitty and our roommate has another.  If you want to know more about them, stop over at my blog and read about Roxy and Merp!

Thank you to Rima for letting me share my story, I hope I have inspired one of you to go out and adopt a new member of your family!

----------------------
Thank YOU, Meg! Seriously, there are THOUSANDS of animals out there in Shelters that want to be in your home, to cuddle with you at night!!!!!!! I've said it before, sometimes I wish Chimmy was a sheltered dog that I rescued, but I was a brat and naive about shelter dogs at the time & that I wanted a pure breed Pomeranian. As I fell in love more with my dog, I started looking at sheltered dogs. I told Rob that once we settle, I want to have 2 dogs, both must come from a Shelter. Good thing he agreed.

Aaaannnddddd just like the famous Bob Barker says,

First of all, my forever boyfriend & I would like to say happy Valentine's to all of you.

I hope you treated your pets as well on the day of LOOOVVVEEEE.

NOW, Chimmy would like to share you some great animal stories/videos/yay-ness.

Lol. This walrus can do sit-ups, why can't I?

This is an old video I remember from awhile back. Always makes me laugh seeing the cute Goldie smiling whenever he listens to the guitar. Look at that face :3

And another cutie that just loves relaxing to the guitar. I wanna cuddle with this puppy.

I hope you all have a great weekend. If any of you want to contribute in Chimmy's Corner, feel free to message me :)

Chimmy's Corner

Chimmy here wants to say "HAAAAYYYYYYYY" to all you sexy ladies out there.

He's greeting you by showing his ass and lifting his leg to pee.

Look at that ass.

So a friend of mine shared this following picture on facebook and I agree with ALL of its statement.
via
Who needs a man when you have a dog? ... uh, I do have a man, though.

Btw, did you see the Budweiser Ad about the horse? BEST AD EVER. I still cry watching it.

This cute beagle is being shamed on by his owner, and it is indeed hilarious.

Below is a memorial video for a really sweet pitbull, Molly. She passed away on Feb 1st 2013. She was assumed used as bait for dog fights. I seriously don't understand why people do that. All this little girl wanted was to love and to be loved and she did received all the love she wants til the end, both from humans and dogs. RIP Molly.

And meet Mr Chris P Bacon. Little man here was born without his two back legs and his human owner created a wheelchair for him. HE IS SUPER ADORBSSSS. I want to hug him!

Any animal stories you want to share?

Doggy kisses,
Rima
