Revisit: 12 Things (Link Up)

Aaaand February was gone just like that. Too soon? I think so! Well, March is here so let's Revisit 12 Things.

Not familiar with 12 Things? You can read about it here :)

For my last Revisit: 12 Things, click here.
2012 12 Things: here
For my Bucket List: here

As a reminder... Here are the things I want to accomplish in 2013.
  1. Attend a Baking/Bread Class.
  2. 30 days Work-Out trial.
  3. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter
  4. Watch a live soccer game
  5. Try a new crafty skill
  6. Attend a Bucket List Concert: Bon Jovi, U2, Coldplay (can't get enough of them!), Celine Dion
  7. The Color Run in Los Angeles
  8. Make/Bake a Pie
  9. Take more pictures with my film cameras and create an album
  10. Swim with the Dolphins
  11. Medical Missionary
  12. Take a picture with Ariel, the Little Mermaid
So... As of now, I have accomplished number 7! The Color Run was done earlier this month and it was Fabulous!! So much fun!!!

I'm excited for March because 2 goals will be crossed off... #1 & # 4!!! I can't wait!!! Still in process is #3 (I still to attend Orientation for Rancho Animal Shelter; Also Bill Foundation accepted me as their volunteer!), #5 (my cross stitch & drawing is in progress), and #6 (Bon Jovi in April AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE & JAY Z IN JULY!!!!).

Now let's talk about #11: Medical Missionary. It's gonna get a little tweaked. It's gonna happen in September (!!!!) BUT it won't be a Medical Missionary. More like a volunteer... Volunteer abroad I may say. And what's making me soooo pump up about it is that I'll be visiting Motherland aka Indonesia. To be more specific: I will be Volunteering in Bali. Yes Bali. The Bali where Mish was in not too long ago! I've always wanted to go back (it's been 11.5 years since I moved back to the US) and I've always wanted to volunteer/mission back in Indonesia. Then when a group called Volunteer in Bali followed me on Twitter (i believe I tweeted about a patient wearing a Hard Rock Bali shirt) and I looked them up. I was soooooo excited. I can not wait to pay for the trip (I signed up already stating that I'm super interested) and book my damn plane ticket!

Sooo go ahead and link up with me!!! If you're new to 12 Things and want to join, Go Ahead! Spread the word!!!

moonbeams,
Rima

HOLY CRAP

Before you decide to think that I'm such a disgusting piece of shit human being, let me tell you that the item above ain't no piece of shit. It's a piece of soap, people. Chocolate fragrance I may add. Can you imagine rubbing that Poo on your body everyday?

All weirdness/grossness/WTFness aside, all the items above are, yes indeed, soaps. I was browsing on Etsy and came upon this store called Howard's Home. As I browse around their stuffs, I was LOLing big time (you would think I have a sense of humor of a grade schooler. I love fart jokes).

This company is a family-based company in Pittsburgh, PA, consists of a husband & wife who does this on the side to help with the medical bill for their son who has OSA (obstructive sleep apnea).

And they also have cute soaps as well. Don't worry people.

Being a baker, I literally went CRAY looking at the baked goods soap. OMAGAH, if only Hostess was still alive, I won't be drooling over a piece of soap. Look at that signature Hostess Chocolate Cupcake soap. gaaaaaaahhhh...

Go please check out Howard's Home. These soaps will make great party favors or pranks (seriously, look at that Poop).

Say My Name (Link-Up): WTF is Bolu?

The Vintage Modern Wife: Say My Name Link Up

First off, I can't help but belt out "IF NO ONE IS AROUND YOU SAY BABY I LOVE YOU IF YOU AIN'T RUNNING GAAAY" after I read that button above. *does a ferosh twirl*

Anyways, Thanks to Yen, I found out about this link-up! Hosted by Steph, it's pretty much what's the backstory of your blog.

Wellllllllll... I've been "online journaling"since 2001 back in the Xanga days (oh yes). It was more like a private thing, you know... Hoping that your parents won't catch it and read about it (good thing at the time my folks weren't internet savvy...) Anyways... Since the social media world exploded a couple of years ago, esp with the birth of Instagram & Facebook & Tumblr, of course this little girl name Rima wants to be semi internet famous (just kidding). I started taking pictures of my baked goods, documenting my what nots and travels and gaining bragging rights with awesome things I've done and parading it on the social media.

Ok, parts of them are false true. Ok, the reason for Bolu was for me to have a medium where I can post about my baking trials and sharing my thoughts and rants about my life. I've been doing that for a couple of years now via Facebook on the "Notes" part. At the time it was more for sharing them with my friends & family.

Then some of my friends were like, "Why don't you start a legit blog?" or "Gurl, you bake all the time, why don't you just blog about it?" or "Oh I love reading your Things I Love Monday"... And because of that Bolu was born in November 2011.

Now the story behind the name Bolu. The actual name that I wanted to pick was Gula. Gula means sugar in Indonesian. My dream one day is to own a cafe/bakery and to name is Gula (this name popped up after talking with my sisters on a random car trip a couple of years ago). But then after doing some research, apparently there is a cake shop name Gula *sad trombone* Soooo... After twirling on some idea names around, Bolu came up. Bolu is an Indonesian work for Sponge Cake. You can actually read more about it here. A lot of people can't pronounce it and it makes me giggle. It's pronounced Bow-Loo.

So that's pretty much the story behind my blog. Woo.

xoxo, Rima

Sur La Table Wishlist: Donut Edition

Mmmm... Donuts... The classic American go-to breakfast food. Ok... next to pancakes, bagels, toast-eggs-bacon, waffles, fried rice (wait, that's Indonesian). I love donuts. Mr. Pillow loves donuts too. We get that at least once a week at my work place, which is dangerous... I can never resist a maple bar or long john. Oh my.

via
Anyways, I was at Barnes & Nobles over the weekend, and being the true wanna be baker I am, I head to the food magazines... and I was the March edition of Saveur. I was slapped with this cover...

via

Uh... Best donuts? Hello I'm sooo there. Look how scrumptious that pink donut looks *drool* This was pretty much me when I saw the cover...

via
So of course I had to get the magazine! What I love about Saveur is that it has RECIPES! Yes... And in this issue it has 28 donut recipes. OmG. I've never made donuts before from scratch so as I browse thru the recipes, I can hear my stomach growling. Grrr... Today at work, during my downtime, I flipped thru the magazine and was thinking on making some donuts... But I don't have some of the supplies needed. Of course, I look up Sur La Table! Seriously, we need a SLT in Rancho Cucamonga! Pleaseee...

  1. Wilton® Standard Doughnut Pan
  2. Ateco® Stainless Steel Donut Cutter, 2½"
  3. Stainless Steel Crank-Handle Sifter, 5 cup
  4. Sur La Table® Candy & Deep Fry Thermometer

Mmm... Can you believe how yummy it is having fresh donuts from your own kitchen? Girl, get the coffee pot ready 'cause that's some serious ME time for me. I'll be all, "GRRRR... DON'T BOTHER ME I'M EATING!" Precious time, people.

Now if only donuts can be low to no calories at all. Mmm... That's heaven right there.

So what's your favorite donut? I'm pretty simple. Give me a maple bar, long johns or simple glaze anytime!

droolfest,
Rima

disclaimer: bolu by rima is affiliated with sur la table. this post is 100% my own idea/wish-list. bolu by rima is NOT affiliated with Saveur Magazine.

In His Time

Sometimes you plan something... You plan something that you've been wanting to do for YEARS. You get really excited, and pump up and ready to go... To find out that it's not a go. An obstacle happen, you plans crumbled and you get upset... Wondering what happen, what went wrong... Thinking "Why now? Why ME? Why why why?"

God's funny. He moves/works in mysterious ways (Ok, I'm quoting U2). Sometimes our plan will be in sync with His plans, sometimes it doesn't. He knows what's best for us. Maybe the timing that we chose may be the wrong timing for the plan to happen. Just like Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "He has made everything Beautiful in its own time."

All we can do is to Pray. Prayers are powerful. Don't mess with them. It's a real deal, people. Also have Patience.

Prayer, Patience and Faith in God. Trust me, when that failed, crumbled dream happens on its time, it will be Beautiful.

When it happens, it happens... and it will be awesome.

xoxo,
Rima

Chimmy's Corner

Chimmy had to share one more thing before next week. Watch the video above about darling Tessa. Chimmy & I are excited that she was saved by the Bill Foundation.

Sick dogs deserve a second chance in life. I'm glad Tessa did.

Chimmy's Corner

Before I introduce to y'all an amazing Animal lover... There are a few words from your host, Chimichanga aka Boyem aka Stinky Butt Butt aka Chimmy.

So uh haayy people. Here I am in the mini hallway of Grams and Mother just got me some In & Out hamburger. She usually feeds me only the meat & 1 bun, then treats me with the other half of the bun. I love to guard my bun. Bun = Bone. Don't you dare try to take that bun away from me.

Mother is being a prick and is threatening me on stealing my bun. That's when I act like I'm a big werewolf and show her my fangs. I am a Fierce Pomeranian, you know. Time to find a hiding place.

I don't know y'all. Should I hide it underneath Grams's bed? I get all Kujo when Gramps takes out the iron board from underneath. I think he wants to have my secret stash. Oh well. I gotz to find a hiding place!!!!!!
Such a smart dog, isn't he? Super Brat I say.

Well Meg from Borrowed Heaven has a great story to tell you. She loves cats. I love cats too despite being a dog person. I'm sorta allergic to cats though. Boo. I love seeing dogs and cats together...

from here

Hi everyone!  I'm Meg and I blog over at Borrowed Heaven.

When I first saw that Rima was doing a weekly "Chimmy's Corner," I knew that I wanted to join in.  Growing up, my parents and I always had cats.  Over the first 18 years of my life, there were 10 kitties in my life.  From my first cat, Robin, who slept in my crib with me, to my parents' youngest outdoor cat, Jose, we have a lot of awesome cat stories.

The funniest one is probably that we always named our cats after baseball players.  It started with Hall of Famers, but most recently the names have come from current New York Yankees players.  Ready for the rundown [in order]?

Robin [Robin Roberts Yount]

Ernie [Ernie Banks]

Scooter [Phil Rizzuto]

Mr. McCovey [Willie McCovey]

Stanley [Stan Musial]

Fergie [Ferguson Jenkins]

Robbie [Robinson Cano]

Bernie-Johnny [Bernie Williams and Johnny Damon]

Hideki [Hideki Matsui]

Jose [Jose Molina]

Yeah, that's a lot - I know, but they all hold a special place in my heart.

But the real purpose of this post is to tell you about the love that adopting cats [or dogs] from a shelter can bring to your life.  Each and every one of my parents' cats were strays; they have never "purchased" a cat.

with Robin when I was 2

When my parents bought their current home, before I was born, they brought Robin with them [who had been adopted from a pound].  But by the time I was in 2nd grade, Mr. McCovey was our only cat [follow the list above, if you'd like].  We knew we wanted another, and we had never had a orange tabby before.  We called our local shelter and they told us that they had an orange tabby that was just brought in.  [See, you can usually even pick out a type/color of cat you want at shelters!]  We immediately went to see him.  He had been found stuck to a tree by his collar and hadn't eat in days before he was brought in.  He was soooo skinny, sick, and only 8 weeks old.  But I thought he was perfect!  The employee took him out of the cage and he came to me immediately.  Now here's the fun part, he also shared that cage with the runt of a litter that was born at the shelter.  The employee said that no one wanted this cat because he looked like a cow with random black and white spots.  We were only supposed to go to the shelter to get the one, orange cat, but when the black and white one jumped into my dad's arms, we knew we had to take both.

with Fergie and Stan

They lived happily with McCovey for a few years before he passed away, and my family and I loved having just 2 cats: Stan [the tabby] and Fergie [the cow cat].  That all changed one fall day during my junior year of high school.  My parents' home backs on acres and acres of woods.  It's really beautiful and one day, three little faces appeared on our back porch.  They were only 6 weeks old and so beautiful.  We started putting out food for them, and tried to pet them, but they were very skiddish.  After a month or so, it seemed as though two of them said to the third one, "Go check it out!  See if these are nice people!" because one of them wanted to come inside.  Well, of course we are, and slowly but surely, after Robbie took the first step, Bernie followed him, and Hideki came inside a few weeks after that.

Just look at these faces.  So many cats like these are found every day.  We were lucky enough to be able to keep them, but so many are brought to shelters and need homes.  They are so sweet, loving, and just want a family!

Bernie-Johnny, Hideki, and Robbie
But seriously, how could you say no to them?

I know that people are sometimes skeptical of shelters, but I can honestly say that shelter cats are perfect and you should always consider adopting an "unwanted" stray before paying for a "top of the line" breeder cat.

So, that's my story.  Of course I couldn't live without kitties, and unfortunately I was unable to bring my 16 year-old Stanley to my new home when I moved away, so now my boyfriend and I have one kitty and our roommate has another.  If you want to know more about them, stop over at my blog and read about Roxy and Merp!

Thank you to Rima for letting me share my story, I hope I have inspired one of you to go out and adopt a new member of your family!

----------------------
Thank YOU, Meg! Seriously, there are THOUSANDS of animals out there in Shelters that want to be in your home, to cuddle with you at night!!!!!!! I've said it before, sometimes I wish Chimmy was a sheltered dog that I rescued, but I was a brat and naive about shelter dogs at the time & that I wanted a pure breed Pomeranian. As I fell in love more with my dog, I started looking at sheltered dogs. I told Rob that once we settle, I want to have 2 dogs, both must come from a Shelter. Good thing he agreed.

My first kiss...

... goes a little like these and twist.

ew. that song is annoying.

Well, I'm a woman of random. I like to listen to random music. Country is not my first choice *groans* but I had my Spotify on random and this song below came out and I fell in love with it. Why? The lyrics are just cute. It's like I wanna pat the back of the dude and say, "good job bro".

Even the video is pretty nice. When I heard this song for the first time, I paid attention to the lyrics and it made me all giddy and remembered my first kiss with the Pillow. *sorry rob, i'm opening up a little. tee hee*
Source: tumblr.com via zach on Pinterest

I'm pretty sure most of you remember the first time you had your kiss with your other half. I vividly remember the night that I had my first kiss with the Robzter. Anyhoo, it was after spending the afternoon at the beach with some of our church friends. Both Rob & I haven't hung out in a loooonngg time (we kinda lost contact in a way... well not really) and that day I decided to keep him company during the drive with his car (the other kids carpooled with the other cars). The next thing you know we both just talked and talked and talked the whole time, during the drive, at the beach and on the way home. Catching up with an old friend is pretty cool, I say. Well on the way back home, a friend tagged along since he's place was on the way to my place, so it was all cool. After we dropped duder off, we headed back to my place. And that weird feeling happen. Like you know something is going to happen. But anyways, I tried to ignore that weird feeling. So we kept on talking until we got to my complex. Then he parked by the mailboxes. That awkward vibe just got stronger. In the back of my head, I was like, "Uh... what's gonna happen... Why suddenly it feels weird here?" Then silence. Seriously, you can probably hear my heart pounding.
Source: allposters.com via John on Pinterest
Then homeskillet asked me, "Uh is it okay if I kiss you?" And I was like, "Uh yea sure..." And WHAM BAM KAZAAM we kissed. And we kissed again. And then we were like, "Ooooohhh Shit what just happened?!?!"

Then we were like, "This is not awkward, right? We're still friends, right?" "Oh that wasn't awkward at all..." "Oh wow..." and so on. But deep down I had a huge grin on my face. Being a girl who was single for 3 years, who doesn't want to be kissed?

Then we walked me to my front door and we said good night. I went straight to my room after saying HAAAY to my parents with Chimmy following me, closed the door and did this.

True story. Just ask Chimmy. After acting like an idiot in my room, I text Rob saying that I had a great day and I was happy that he kissed me.

The next day, we had our first date (well hello Iron Man).

Almost 5 years later, we're going strong.

If he didn't asked me about the kiss, we won't be where we are today.

I love my man.

No Robert, I love YOU!

Now, how was your first kiss? *sneer sneer*

Food Time: French Macarons!!!!

Well well well... It's time again for Food Time. This time, it's the lovely yet pain in the ass French Macarons!

A co-worker requested this over the week, so since it was a 3 day weekend, I was like "haaaay letz do this!"

Girls (and dudes)... This pretty cookies are annoying(-ly awesome). My first batch was a big failure, only 12 shells out of 50 that were okay (recipe is from this book). I tried the Italian Meringue method and the batter came out way to watery because I believe I overmix during the Macaronage. Womp Womp. Piping the batter was hell because it kept on leaking thru my piping bag, also making the macaron circles waaay too big :( Then I had a problem with the baking temperature and time. For some reason, with this book's temperature and time, the macarons came out a tad bit burnt, or like it was heading there. Then, I don't know if it's because of the size of my macaron or my over-folding of the batter. Boo.

So for the first batch, it's Vanilla Bean Macaron with Dundee's Lemon Curd from the UK. I've never had Lemon Curd before, so it's pretty interesting to me. Sweet, a little tart with a tang to it. Sounds yummy on a toast and a cup of tea. Hmmm... At least these macs came out with Feet! Woo!

Being a the little perfectionist in me, I was so bummed with the first batch, I decided to make another batch (recipe is from this book). Talk about dedication. Now this batch came out waaaayyy better. I used the French Meringue method. I followed the author's techniques to the tee, but I still felt that the batter was too watery for me. So I'm not sure if I did over-fold during the Macaronage, I don't think I did, but who knows. These cookies are known to be Pretty Bitches aka temperamental.

For this one, I just add Pink Rose food coloring and it's still Vanilla Bean Macarons, this time with Bonne Maman Wild Blueberry Jam from France. Yum. Not too sweet, has a little tang to it as well. I'm glad these came out way better than the first batch. I see the Feet!

At one point, I decided to mix the lemon curd with the blueberry jam!

Even Chimmy wants a piece but he ain't getting one!

Macarons ingredients are pretty basic: Almond Meal, Powdered/Confectioner Sugar, Granulated Sugar and Egg Whites. Then the method for the Meringue could be with heat (Italian) or without heat (French). Everyone has their own version of the recipe... Some add Cream of Tartar... Some add Powdered Egg Whites.

There's the mixing stage aka Macaronage. Followed by piping! Then there's the tapping aka banging (I like to bang!) of the cookie sheet on to the country to eliminate air bubbles. Then the resting aka drying period. Then the Temperature and Baking time. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. It's frustrating! One will say 375F... or 350F... or 300F... I don't know, people. I was literally pulling my hair.

Seriously, guys, it's totally a Trial and Error type of cookies to make.

I youtube'd macarons, and this cute one came out. She does the French Meringue technique. Doesn't she make it like it's super easy? I kid you not, this is my second and third attempt, and it may look easy. It is pretty easy. It's the macaronage part that's tricky.

Cool thing about macarons is that the color, flavor and fillings are endless.

Fun Fact: I was in the kitchen from 9AM to 5PM. Yes people. I was there for a whole banker shift! (and I did not complain at all. Guess I know where my heart it... Baking!)

I will try to make this again when I have the time. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of macarons, I like them because they just look so cute. They're just too sweet for me, and I believe is because of the amount of powdered sugar in the ingredients. I'm such a bread/cupcake girl. But I'm seriously thinking on taking a class on Macarons soon once I get back from Paris.

Wait... Maybe I should take a Macaron class in Paris... Nah. I signed up for Croissants. Croissants > Macarons anytime.

Helene from Tartellete a little ebook on Macarons. Check it out!

Seriously, that quote "Practice makes Perfect" applies to Macarons!

Have any of you made these bad ones before?

Wish List: Sur La Table

If you know me by now, I'm slowly on the roll on becoming a wannabe pastry chef kitchen cook. Unlike most girls, my to go store is not those fashion/clothes stores, instead they are kitchen/cooking stores. I love Anthropologie all in all, but when I'm there I head straight to the Kitchen section. Seriously, I just want to live in the store.

I love Sur La Table. They don't have one in my area, but there are 2 stores like 5 minutes away from the Pillow's place. I have to refrain myself from going in because: 1. I'll may spend some $$$ on unneeded things; 2. I can an easy 2 hours there, just drooling on their items; 3. I'm pretty sure Rob will leave me forever being bored in a foreign land. (jk on #3).

So here I am, drooling over their stuffs online and I ended up creating a wish list.

  1. Lékué Clear Egg Molds - I love eggs. If it wasn't for the cholesterol content on the yolk, I can eat like 5 hard boiled eggs in 1 sitting. When I was the demo on Sur La's website, I was like "hellz yea I want this!!!" It only takes about 1 minute or less to cook an egg in the microwave. Being Ms. Busy, I was sold. Hmmm...
  2. OXO® Stainless Steel Mandoline - Honestly, I really hate slicing. It takes forever for me, and not only that, it's damn messy. I really want to make my own sweet potato chips!
  3. KitchenAid® Professional 600 Stand Mixer - I need a new mixer. I have 2 Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer and a 10 year old Kitchen Stand Mixer that's dying. I can survive on the Hand Mixer, but I'm spoiled and don't want my arms to get tired so I would love to have a new stand mixer. Now if only they have this in teal.
  4. Messermeister Chef’s Torch - I've been wanting to have a torch ever since I watched Amelie and her cracking-the-creme-brûlée scene. I love creme brûlée.
  5. Sur La Table® White Marble Pastry Board, 16" x 20" - My kitchen surface is tile so I don't have a flat surface to roll dough. This is like super ideal. I want this badly!!!!!!!
  6. Le Creuset® Cherry French Press - How pretty is this French Press??!?! My first one was a Bodum brand, and I got the cheapest one. The glass finally broke and I was sad. Not only I use my press of coffee, but I love using it to brew my tea.
  7. de Buyer® Stainless Steel Flour Tamis - I'm a lazy person. I don't sift my sugar, salt, flour, baking powder/soda, milk powder, almond powder, est est est. I'm bad. I have the handheld one, but I just don't like using it. This one looks cool.
  8. Gobel Madeleine Mold - I love Madeleines. I can eat 10 of them at the same time. I want to learn how to make them with some fillings like Rachel Khoo's. YUM
Another cool thing about Sur La Table... THEY HAVE COOKING CLASSES.
I can't wait to take some once I'm back from Vacation.

My dreams are slowly coming true. Now, I just need someone to buy me those stuffs above *hi robert*

Do you have a favorite store? What's your wish list?

floured face,
Rima

disclaimers: I am affiliated with Sur La Table, but this wish list was solidly compiled by me. I want all of these stuffs for reals!

Chimmy's Corner

First of all, my forever boyfriend & I would like to say happy Valentine's to all of you.

I hope you treated your pets as well on the day of LOOOVVVEEEE.

NOW, Chimmy would like to share you some great animal stories/videos/yay-ness.

Lol. This walrus can do sit-ups, why can't I?

This is an old video I remember from awhile back. Always makes me laugh seeing the cute Goldie smiling whenever he listens to the guitar. Look at that face :3

And another cutie that just loves relaxing to the guitar. I wanna cuddle with this puppy.

I hope you all have a great weekend. If any of you want to contribute in Chimmy's Corner, feel free to message me :)

doggy kisses,

I Don't Care Who You Are...

Where You're From...
What You Did...
As Long As You Love Me.

Hey Bieber! Shut up. This title was taken long time ago by 5 amazing boys. Plus your song is annoying.

Happy Valentine's Day to you that celebrate.
Happy Single Awareness Day aka SAD to you that are single.
Happy Whatever Day to you that just don't give a phaaaaaaaak.

I personally don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. I'm one of those "it-should-be-an-everyday-thing" kinda person. Everyday should be a special day when you're with your lover.

Since we live 50 miles apart, every weekend for me is Valentine's Day. I get all giddy seeing The Pillow on Saturday. I get really sad on Sunday when we have to separate. My "chocolates", "flowers", "balloons" and "teddy bear" are different. His kisses are sweet like my favorite piece of chocolate, his funny laugh and sweet words makes my heart bloom like pretty flowers, the way he plays with my hair and caresses me makes me fly high like balloons and I don't need a teddy bear because I have a living one that's super cuddly than a stuff one (yes, he's chunky like a teddy bear. Sorry babe. True story).

BUT I don't complain if Rob gives me flowers, stuff animals and balloons on V-Day and treat me out to dinner. We've done it for the past couple of V-Days. I just don't make a big deal out of it.

Anyways, however you decide to celebrate February 14 (if it's your birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY), I do hope you have a good one.

In my case, I'll be working. Hehe.

bunny kisses,
Rima

This is What I...

I read blogs by two great bloggers. Lauren from Siddathornton and the infamous blogger mama James from Bleu Bird.

Sometimes you get inspired by other bloggers. In my case, I'm inspired by both of them. They both have their version of blog post about things they want, need, are wearing/listening/eating/reading/etc. Lauren does a weekly Currently post and James just started her Want, Need, Wear, Read, inspired by her children.

I think that's brillz.

Lauren has 13 categories, while James has 4.

I'm being a rebel and I love number 7. I'm going with 7, y'all. I'm gonna touch the 5 human senses, and then some.

This is What I...

  • See: My cluttered bed that I'm soon to fall asleep on to
  • Taste: The green juice I made for dinner. It lingers.
  • Smell: My clean shampooed hair. It smells like Sweet Pea from Bath and Body Works because I indeed sprayed some on my hair.
  • Hear: The LA Lakers game from my brother's room.
  • Touch: My still damped hair.
  • Want: a big fat juicy burger with some Belgium beer.
  • Need: a good sleep.
Feel free to join! Also, check out Lauren & James :)

xo,
Rima
