Glasses > Contacts

ray ban & a vintage italian frame
Mkay, if you know me, you would know that I love to collect glasses, both optical and sunglasses. I love getting glasses off of ebay or at thrift stores, and just collecting them, yet I ended up putting them in a shoebox and forget about it. I was too poor to change it out to actual prescription glasses.

But I just love glasses. When I got my insurance thru work, the first thing I did was getting my eyes check. Why? Glasses. I couldn't wait to pick out a frame and turn it into a prescription glasses. One time, I converted a Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses into a prescription one because they didn't have any big framed ones that I love.

Oh one thing, I love BIG FRAME glasses. Nerdy Look. This girl is Nerdy. I love being Nerdy. I love Nerdy Boys who wear glasses (too bad, Pillow is nerdy but has 20/20 vision. Jerk.) The cool thing is that people who I work with actually know me as the girl with the big frame eyeglasses. One time when I was still in the ER, I was working on a patient and was charting. At the time, this one paramedic walked all the way down towards me from the hall just to say, "Girl, I dig your specs. Pretty cool. I like how big it is." Even I had patients referred me as the Nurse with the Big Glasses. I was famous. Even the CEO of the Hospital knows me from my glasses (sadly, he doesn't know my name. Boo).

some random frame from f21 & a vintage Gucci eyeglasses

I mean, I do wear contacts. The first time I tried to put them one, it took me 20 minutes to put it in ONE eyeball. Sad. But I managed. But for some reason, my visions weren't the greatest with contacts and they dry fast. So hence, contacts are for party/church/lookin sexy reason. Other than that, glasses all the way.

If you see some recent pictures of me, I have the clear wayfarer right now and I love it. Since it's clear, it pretty much goes with everything... and so far it compliments my face. And Mother approves. Today, Dr. Galura from Anesthesia (I was in a case that required Anesthesia) was all stunned with my stunna eyeglasses frame and said, "Dude, I super dig your glasses! It's so 80s!! You know Video Killed the Radio Star? Have you seen the video? That's the glasses they have..." And he started serenading me the song. Good thing the patient's totally out by then. Or else, she had to listen to my crazy voice trying to sing along with him.

a cat eye glasses & a 99 cents store glasses
Anyways, since eyeglasses has been a big trend for the past couple of years, especially when the Wayfarer look boomed... Finding frames aren't so hard anymore. I even heard that kids these days want to have glasses because they think it's cool (in my head, I see it as it means they have cool electronic stuff to play with hence eye straining = glasses). Back when I had my glasses in 1995 (5th grade), I looked like a total dork (hooray) and I had zits and braces to top it off. I was total 90s geek girl.

yes. hanson.
Asian Peace Sign
Good thing is that with the power of internet and the webcam, we can now just shop online for a frame, plug in your prescription and get them in the mail. Awesome. Like this one...

This one is from GlassesUSA.com. Mind you my tired look. I was too busy taking pictures of the Blue Moon and ignored my natural beauty. Oh well. We all have ugly days. Anyways, I played around with their Virtual Mirror and had too much fun. Now I'm officially confused on what frames to get!

So do you prefer glasses or contacts? I would love to know!

Oh wait. GlassesUsa.com is being like super rad to me and is giving Bolu readers discounts for your future frames! Hollaaaa

Friday's Letters and Sigh.

This is a Combo Entry. My mood is very foul.

  • Dear Friday... Thanks for stopping by. We've been all waiting for you.
  • Dear Weather... Why are you still weird??? Rain hard then Sunny Hard? This ain't no Hard Party, mkay...
  • Dear Upcoming Baby Shower Cupcakes... Let's do this. This will be awesome.
  • Dear Labor Day weekend... let's make it super awesome. Let's make sure Ms. Weather doesn't have the cramps and ruin my Cliff Jumping experience by being mad and raining and screaming her thunders up. I don't want to get electrocuted while I'm doing my awesome jump. No Bueno.
  • Dear Mother... Please stop harassing me about my need to get a new designer purse! Instead of saying "hello how are you how's work", you yelled, "I don't care Rima, you need to get a new designer purse!" In my head, "WTF!?!?!?! That's how you show love? *SMH*" In return I told you that I know but I have other priorities than a damn designer purse (HELLO Marc Jacobs and Gwen Stefani, please send some cool purses? I love you!) such as, uh, saving up for a wedding? If it wasn't for the expectations of throwing a damn party for people, I would just freakin elope *rant mode: ON* but I love y'all too much.
  • Dear Pillow, *no shame* please help me and propose? KEE-DEENG.
  • Dear Chimmy... I find it very funny that you would wait in front of the backyard window door every night at 9 and wait for the possum to pass by and bark like you're possessed. THE SUCKER CAN'T HEAR YOU! CHILL THE CRAP OUT!
  • Dear Readers, my BFF Gaby (the girl that was with me in NYC) just started blogging. Awww... New Girl, so cute. Show her some love. This girl is very, very smart and witty. She totally acts 10 years more her age. She needs help on html/layouts/templates, so for you techy savvy girls out there... help her out :) She's musically talented (her album is on iTunes), just graduated from College with a degree that involves knowing the human brain, and is just interestingly weird (she likes controversies and sarcasms). Say hello to her.
  • Dear Period. Go away. You are so not needed right now.
  • Dear Future Sponsors, Thank You. If any of you are willing to support me by being a Super Bunny, I would love you long time. In a way, you are helping with my (wishful) wedding fund. Haha.
  • Oh and Dear Readers, again, the giveaway will be done soon. JOIN, won't you?

Wanderlust Wednesday

For you stalkers out there, I would like to talk about 2 cities where you can find me and hunt me down (with $1 Million, not a credit card bill, please). Why? Because I'm doing a Link - Up with Lauren (who's from OC! YAY) from Pink On the Cheek.

First, let me talk about the City where I live.

I live in Rancho Cucamonga, California. According to Google Map, it's about 40 miles east of Los Angeles.

via
I moved here 11 years ago from Jakarta, Indonesia, and have resided here ever since. I remember visiting RC back in 1995, there were a lot of empty lands, and some vineyards here and there. My mother grew up around RC back in the 70s (she went to the local Chaffey College, our local community college, where I actually graduated too) and she said it used to be so empty with vineyards all over the place.

Anyways, this city has exploded in the past decade. It's considered as an elite area for the Inland Empire. Tons of new residential homes popped up in the past 5 - 7 years, and now we have our own outdoor mall called Victoria Gardens (for me, it's like our own Santa Monica's Promenade , which includes our own Cultural Building and Theater combined with the city's Library (we have 2 now).

via
We have a lot of eateries here from Thai (Thai T, Thai Vegan, Green Mango), Vietnamese (Pho Ha!!!), lots of Mexican food (so many of them), Sushi/Japanese, Italian, American... name it... all the way to your typical big and famous food joint such as Cheesecake Factory, Lucille's BBQ, CPK, Yard House, PF Chang, Claim Jumpers, Johnny Rockets, TGIF, etc. Our main road would be Foothill Blvd, part of Route 66. Along Foothill you will have most of those food joints.

Most likely you will find me at Victoria Gardens, 99 Ranch Market (I'm Asian. I love my Asian food), Fresh & Easy Market, Target, Ross, Michaels and Home Goods (my favorite store. I go here every paycheck day, along with Target. Hahaha...)

Cool thing about Rancho Cucamonga, we're in between Upland, Ontario (so close to the airport. Awesome and also the Ontario Mills Outlet Mall. They have Nordstroms Rack, Off 5th Ave AND Last Call Neimen Marcus!) and Fontana. Not too far from Claremont where they have awesome foodies there at the Village (if you're in the area, must visit the Village in Claremont!) which is nested by the infamous Claremont Colleges. Driving distance to some Indian Casinos (San Manuel and Morongo) and about 1 hour away from Cabazon, the infamous outlet mall in the dessert.

North of RC is the mountains (which is my view from my street!), so we're not too far from Snowboarding (Mt. High, Snow Valley, Snow Summit, etc) and some cool lakes (Lake Gregory, Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear).

via
Overall, I love this City. It has everything that I need and I don't have to go far to get something. One thing is night life is not the greatest (mm hello we're in the Suburbs) but we do have a Dueling Piano Bar/Night Club called Rock the Keys which is pretty awesome. And of course, there are bars around town. But then again, I'm not a big club girl anyways.

NOW... the second city that you can stalk me at is Newport Beach/Costa Mesa in Orange County.

via
First of all, hello, it's Orange County. The County of Orange. The land of Mickey Mouse and the home of the Angels and No Doubt (yes the band). This is the place where I want to live (boyfriend, marry me quick, please?).

Why Newport Beach/Costa Mesa? The community is fresh (in my opinion). It's the blend of old folks with young folks and folks with kids. Laguna Beach for me is too... Old Fashion? I don't know how to say it. Very Artsy. The community is old for me (I used to work in the ER at the hospital in Laguna Beach). It's a nice place to retire, in my opinion. But then, everybody has their own preference on what beach to live/visit. Huntington Beach for me is too... crowded. Newport is crowded too, but I think HB is very touristy for me. But it's still awesome.

The Pillow used to live in Costa Mesa (then he moved to Irvine for a brief period then back to Costa) so I got accustom to the city. He used to live off of Harbor Blvd where the whole street is filled with FOODIES! All the fast food joint, you name it, they have it... all along the street.

Then there's The Lab and The Camp off of Bristol & Baker St. I recommend Taco Asylum, Umami Burger, Native Food, Habana, East Borough, Milk & Honey, Ecco, The Gypsy Den... Gah so many eateries. Not too far from there is my favorite Korean restaurant, Hashigo. Mmm their Kimchi Bokkeumbap is too die for. Also not too far from there is also Inca Grill for Peruvian. You can catch me at Hashigo or Inca Grill (and of course the Camp and the Lab)

Some cool pictures of the Camp: here.

Then of course, you can't forget South Coast Plaza off the 405. The infamous fancy mall where people from the Inland Empire would drive too to get their fancy on.

via
I usually go across the street to Metro Pointe where they have Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls and Loehmann's. Haha. I'm a cheap ass.

So after Costa Mesa, the boyfriend decided to move to Newport Beach (oh you fancy huh). Good thing is that my love for Costa Mesa is not tarnished because it's only 5 minutes away (via car) from his current place. So I can still visit all of my favorite places without complaining about traffic. Hehe.

And boy do I love Newport Beach. His apartment now (aka my second home) is a jogging distance to Fashion Island. Literally, we jog there.

via
The view from his apartment is the Back Bay, which has a trail where people walk/jog/bike. Then where his unit stands, you can see the over view of the Pacific Ocean.

the back bay
pool side. if i took a standing up pic, you would see Pacific Ocean
gotta love Beach Weather
Then of course, the beach is only a drive away. We can actually bike (which is preferred) to Balboa Island and head to the beach. There, tons of foodies too. Mmmm... Love.

The great thing about NB/CM is that we're between great cities. We're not far from Huntington Beach (hello, Slaters 50/50), Irvine (TONS of food, esp Asian food. If you're Asian in SoCal, you would know 85C Bakery in Irvine off of Jamboree & Alton; also the home of Irvine Spectrum), Santa Ana/Westminster (home of Vietnamese food), City of Orange (BRUXIE!!!!!!!) then of course Anaheim, the home of Disneyland. There are tons of Biking Trails/Route.

Oh and of course, the Pacific Coast Highway passes through Newport. Can not forget the awesome Javier's Restaurant by Crystal Cove (it's one of Kobe Bryant's favorite restaurant. He lives nearby there. Boyfriend saw him there one time).

Gosh I can go on and on about this city.

BUT WAIT! There's another city. New York City. For that, you can click here. Hahaha... I made an ode to New York City.

If only I can split my body into 3 and live at all 3 areas at the same time. Bomb.

Uh so I've reached 50+ followers... This is a Giveaway :)

and I decided to do a giveaway...

beforehand, I saw a package in the mail today and went all excited!!! My orders are here! Yes, I went jewelry crazy. After I opened each one of them, I was like, "ooooohhh they're sooo cuteeee"...

to realized... I don't need all of these!! Hahaha... I do, from time to time, do random purchases out of nowhere.

anyways, I realized, I have managed to have 50+ followers. I would never in a million years would think that I will ever have followers for my simple little blog. And now I have 50 and growing. Thank you for all of your supports, bunnies.

so in the midst of my compulsive purchase, as a little thank you for my 50+ followers, I'm giving away 3 of the cuties that I bought.

  1. This cute little crown is too cute. Its meant to be a pinky ring. When I tried it on, I felt the little royalty in me going high and about. You know. Like I was meant to be Prince Harry's wife. I would do naked pool with him.
  2. This little Kuma (means Bear in Japanese) is so cute. It's adjustable. Remember, Kuma is my nickname for the Pillow aka Robert aka Boyfriend, because he's just a teddy bear to me (read: CUDDLY). Hopefully this ring can remind you of that special someone who's cuddly like a teddy bear. It can be your man, baby/kid, or your pet. All of them are cuddly, right?
  3. This is a Sparrow Ear Cuff for your awesome ear cartilage! It's adjustable too. If I can find a Mockingjay *coughhungergamescough* man... that would be soo awesome.
So. Are you interested? If so, participate :) spread the word.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway ends this Friday!

Cool thing is, once you do the Mandatory entries, there are 5 options that you can DO every single day until the giveaway ends. Meaning... More options to win.

PS: I'm doing another giveaway too... HERE. I'm so generous ;P

Jewelry Swap!

YAYYY... I was so happy to join the Jewelry Swap, hosted by Melissa from The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife.

So when I received my package last week, I was soo excited! The rule is that you send a piece of jewelry to a blogger that she assigns (with the help of her assistant, Kendall), and you will get a piece of jewelry as well from another secret blogger (you won't know the blogger until you receive your package).

My awesome bohemian necklace that I got was from Jeni Q from Two Shades of Lovely. So happy with what I got. It's very me, haha. Good job, Jeni :)

Thanks to Melissa for hosting this :)

Revisit: 12 Things

Original post: here
For my Bucket List: here

So we're more than 1/2 way towards the year, and I suddenly remember my 12 goals that I wanted to accomplished by the end of 2012. 12 for 12. Got it. I shall post the goals here for you.

1. Missionary Trip (this will happen in March)
2. Bake and Decor a Cake. This I've never done ever!
3. Bake a batch of Macaroons
4. Bungee Jump and/or Sky Dive
5. Cha-Cha Family Reunion. This should be the year, guys.
6. Read at least 5 novels by the end of the year. 7. Do a photo shoot of my baked goods. I must notify Ollie for this. Tee Hee.
8. Beer Tasting. Yes, I know wine tasting should be fun (and probably romantic too) but I'm a beer girl. I would love to explore the world of beer. Not to just get buzz on it.
9. Get a legit Physical Exam, inside out. I do have health insurance since I started work, but I've never taken great advantage of it. This time, I will. Haha.
10. Master the art of Fried Rice. Yes. Either the Thai Version, Chinese Version or Indo Version. I'm serious.
11. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter. Always wanted to do this. Even just for a weekend.
12. Make Snow Angels. Haven't yet.

DAMN. I only completed 6. I need 6 more to go.

  • Most likely #5 will happen in October (I'm beyond excited for that).
  • #11 is in process. Until now, Humane Society haven't contacted me yet. Boo.
  • I need to make an appointment for #9. I keep on forgetting. I changed health insurance and I need to find a doctor STAT.
  • #4 may changed in to Cliff Diving, since it's cheaper. Hmmm... It still involves jumping from a higher place, right? hehe...
  • I need to find a good place to do #8. Maybe Hangar 24? Hmmmmm...
  • As for #12... I'm kinda doubting it will happen this year knowing how weird mother nature is lately. But you never know. She's bipolar. She may throw snow at me tomorrow, if she feels like it.
How about you? Do have goals to accomplish this year? Share!!

btw, I'm hosting a Giveaway with Breanna of My Beautiful, Crazy Life, along with some other awesome bloggers. Winner takes all!!!! Prizes worth at least $100. How awesome is that? :) GO AND CLICK HERE

Sunday Confessions

Forgive me for I have sin.
  • Despite that I'm juicing now, I'm still eating bad food. I can't help it. I love food.
  • The Pillow asked me if I want to jog this morning, I said no. Instead, I made 2 banana breads.
  • I yelled at Chimmy multiple times today because of his excessive barking. I'm sorry but not sorry. I need help
  • I emailed the Pillow engagement rings that I like. Hey, better to give him hints than not liking the one that he might get. No shame, no gain.
  • I even told him to hurry up and propose. No shame.
  • It's Sunday and I'm on call. I don't even feel like going out at all to do stuff. Just want to relax in my bed. That's ok, right? How often do I get to relax in my very own bed?
  • I've been debating to dye my ends with Kool-Aid. Do it or Not? Most likely do. oh uh.

RIMA & GABY INVADES NYC, DAY 2.

Hah. So here's DAY 2 of our epic trip (Sorry it took me so long to do this. I'm gonna make it a weekly series. I'm so busy!)

in the sub; MAGNOLIAAA; Posing; @ Dean & Deluca

As far as I can remember, we woke up late. Hahaha... after our random Pizza run in Day 1, we slept in the humid heat (remember... no AC!).

So we started heading to the Rockefeller Center with intention to eat at Dean & Deluca, and we accidentally bumped into Magnolia Bakery. Mmm... Hello. Like I said, I judge a bakery by it's Red Velvet Cupcake. It's pretty good. The frosting is not sweet at all (which I love) but it doesn't have that cream cheese tartness. I wonder if it was cream cheese frosting. Not sure. Then I stood by the door for like 4 minutes watching a pastry chef frosting a cake. I stared at her for like forever. She was probably annoyed by me.

Then we walked around Rockefeller, passed by NBC and the Radio Music City hall and found Dean & Deluca. We both got their reusable bags (I'm a sucker for reusable bags), since we both thought, "Er, we're gonna like be shopping like crazy why not just get a reusable bag so we can stuff our stuffs in there? huh?" Anyhoo, great success.

Then after that we went to MoMA. Yay, MoMA. My favorite. That was my 2nd time there, and Gab's first. My goal was to find my favorite painting of all time (again), The Starry Night by Van Gogh and to catch some classics, like Dali, Picasso and of course, ms. Marilyn Monroe herself by Warhol. #highfive.

nerd
After MoMA, we headed to Theater District, with pitstops to the mother of Anthropologie by Rockefeller (I died) and the massive St. Patrick's Cathedral. This was my 2nd time too & Gab's first. When we got there, we caught a glimpse of a mass that was going on. I'm not Catholic, so I had no idea what's going on, so when the people were praying, I was busy admiring the interior.

We headed to Theater District, picked up our tickets for Rent (which featured Anthony Fedorov from American Idol 4) and hung out at Starbucks (yes, our favorite go to place to charge our iphones). Gaby went outside where she caught Woody Harrelson walking by. Moments later I saw the sight of his ass (I saw him from behind from Starbucks). Hey, I saw Haymitch from behind. Woo.

Anyway, RENT was good. The casts was amazing, especially the guy that played Angel. Wow. Homeboy can sing and dance. Gotta love gay men. And Mr. Fedorov was awesome.

Since the night was still young (actually not really. Young in California time) we decided to head to Times Square and admire the iconic billboard lights. Man, such a touristy sight. Body bumpin no bueno. Gah.

And again, due to our abusive nature to our iPhones, we stopped again to grab "water" and charge our phones at Starbucks nearby. This Starbucks is legit. It has a big ass TV/Computer screen where you can take a picture of yourself and email it to you. Then it gets displayed on top of the monitor, projector style.

Feelin very touristy ourselves, we walked around Grand Central Station. Such a pretty place.

nerds
And of course, what's New York without some Halal Food? Yum. We wanted to go to that infamous 52nd St one but we were too tired. So we just headed to the first one we could find. And twas yum. It was so yummy that the picture was blurry.

Gawd I'm hungry now.

Well we accomplished quite a lot in a day. Super.

We headed back to Brooklyn, and to our surprised, we saw a guy, in his underwear, playing the computer as we walked into our apartment. My eyes went straight to his south side. "WTF?!?" was in my head. And that was Barak, our host. (the computer desk is the first thing you see to the side when you walk in). And this, people, was my first time meeting our host. In his underwear.

Barak: "Hey, Guys. How's is goin??" *eyes on the computer*
Gaby: "Oh hey Barak. It's going great. This is Rima, my friend." *eyes like a deer in the headlight*
Me: "Oh hey, nice to meet you, Barak. Errr... What are you playing?" *thinking, WTF. He better not be playing with himself* (walking towards our room)
Barak: "Oh I'm playing this dragon war game." *eyes still on the computer*
Me: "Oh Cool." *walks into room*

I was totally o_O

Gaby was all WTF too. This boy has no shame. And we both LOVE that! Somebody didn't care... Maybe if we were both males, it'll be a different story. Hahah.

Mkay, til Day 3 :)

PS: photo layouts/templates are made by Katrina from Pugly Pixel. Stop by and say hi (and say hi to her from me!!)

What I Wore to Church

Church is the only time of the week where I put on some "decent" make-up and wear some nice clothes.

On rare occasions, I would put on some lipstick. Like today.

On rare occasions, I would post aboutc clothes. Like today (and yesterday).

On rare occasions, I would take a picture of myself not smiling. Like today.

The dress might look familiar because it's the dress I wore to the flash-mob I did. It's thrifted. Woo.

Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: MIA
Belt: Forever 21

woo.

First ASOS purchase :)

it's this one. shoes: LAMB

As you may notice, I RARELY post pictures about fashion or clothes, except if I purchased some Vintages. I'm not a big fashionista (I'm a Jeans/TShirt girl. Or Yoga Pants/Tank girl), I rather focus on like food. Foodies Unite.

Anyways, there's a wedding coming up in mid-September, and I remember seeing an ASOS ad on someone's blog. Can't remember. So I checked it out. And it's awesome. Free Shipping for BOTH ways? Awesome. AAAANNDD at the time of purchase, there was a back-to-school discount code, so it made it more awesome. Plus, it's from the UK (I LOVE UK). Wicked.

So I settled for this dress and I love it.

Even Mother approved.

She said, "I've been praying for the day that you dress up nicely. It came true." (not her actually words, but I kinda knew it meant that way).

I'm not embarrassed about my size, so the one I'm wearing is size US 10 or EU 42 or UK 14. It fits well. I'm normally a size US 8, but I was afraid with my recent awesome weight gain (food food food all the waaay), I opted for a size bigger, and I was happy of what I did. I'm pretty sure the 8 will fit, but I'm afraid it will be too short and the audience will focus more on my thighs then the bride. I don't want to steal her thunder, you know, with my thunder thighs. My thunder thighs are just for the Pillow to enjoy (love you, boo).

Anyways, I recommend ASOS. Pretty cool stuff. iLike.

disclaimer: ASOS has nothing to do with this. It was purely to express my love for this store that I just fairly knew about.
BUT if you're ASOS, hook a girl up yo.

Friday's Letters

Dear On-Call Week... Please please please be nice to me. I better get called in for a true life saving procedure. Nothing corny. Thank You Love You Bye.
Dear Chimmy, please continue to do your cute whimpering while you're sitting there staring at me wanting to go up on my bed. nyahahahahaha *evil laugh*
Dear Coldplay, I still want to see you live. Like now... In my room.
Dear Juicer, please always bear with me when I yell at you for producing awesome yet so nasty vegetable juices. Thank goodness I'm getting used to the flavors of juiced greens. Weird yet healthy?
Dear Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart A Break", umm can you give MY EARS a break? I'm soooo tired listening to your song every time I CHANGE my satellite radio stations in my car. You really need to retire... So does, Wide Awake, Payphone, Call Me Maybe (you really really need to retire). I'm NOT TIRED yet of Gotye though. I still SCREAM the chorus, all the time, especially when I'm doing CT scan nursing. Ah, gotta love "Karaoke Club" CT.
Dear Prince Harry, thanks for showing your ass to the world. You just went #1 on my list. Most Awesome Prince Ever.
Dear Dry & Itchy Scalp, can you stop being bipolar and stop like making me go crazy, especially when I'm nervous or bored? Just freakin tell me what shampoo works for you, huh?
Dear Appetite, you too... can you stop being so bipolar? one hour you'll be like, "mmkay... i can control that urge to eat that donut..." then the next hour, you're like, "GURL GO GET CHU SELF 2 DONUTS... AND A CUP OF JOE... YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS... FREE FOOD GALORE SISTAAA." Eff You. Eff You big Time.
Dear The Pillow, I still dislike you for going to Opening Game of Packers... I wanna be there too, bro.

Reminiscing Wednesday

I was browsing on old pictures that I've posted before on my personal facebook, and can not stop laughing. I scanned some old pictures (like circa 80s and 90s) and all I did was giggled. Like a mad woman.

Yet, I'm just gonna share one of the pictures.

Mind you, when I was a kid, I LOATHE taking pictures. My mother would try to make those Xmas card pictures back in the 80s to be sent for, you know, friends families loved ones co-workers.

So on this picture, taken around Nov or Dec of 1988 or 1989, Mother tried so hard to make me smile. I did several fake smiles and she was not happy with the result. She ended up with this picture. Mad Rima & Oblivious Luscious Lips Austin.

I remember the outfit vividly. It was scratchy, I hate the sleeves and the stocking was ridiculous. Gah. The patterns don't mesh at all (even though I'm a mismatch kind of girl) and the cut was so weird. Gotta love the 80s.
