September Goals

As I listen to my Boyband Playlist on Spotify (I'm a true 90s Pop Fangirl), and after reading Melissa's September List (Insert Sarcastic Remark Here), I was inspired to start my own list.

I love making lists. I love making them, but sometimes I hate accomplishing them. It's not you, it's me. Since things in this list are not something like major, they're like little things that I think I should be able to accomplished. Nothing hard, you know.

As I serenade myself to NSync's "This I Promise You", let me explain each goal (feel free to hum along)

1. Wake Up 10 minutes Early for Work - I'm the QUEEN of snooze. I purposely set my alarm 30 minutes earlier so I can snooze. Sometimes I would actually sleep in an extra 5 minutes after the final (countdown) snooze, thinking, "Ah I can make it to work on time." But shit, I'm like rushing to get ready and I would end up not having a proper breakfast. I NEED A PROPER BREAKFAST. And I believe this is why I can not put off the weight. I would just grab whatever I see in the kitchen (or in the office at work, which usually involves SWEETS) and chug coffee for energy. SAD. 10 minutes makes a huge difference. I must do this! Which means, I have to sleep earlier... Hmm... With all the blogging and bloggers to read... This would be hard. I MUST DO THIS.

2. Juicing for Dinner between Mon - Fri - So far I've been doing okay with this, but I want to maintain it. I've feel a little bit different after I started juicing. I just need to stick with it and watch what I eat. I feel a boost of energy, but I still get tired at work (It's from all of the sugars I eat). I would skip juicing on the weekends since it's hard to juice when your out and about. Which leads to...

3. Limit the Sugar Intake - This is a MAJOR struggle for me. I love Sweets. Read: I LOVE BREAD & PASTRIES. I work in a department where all of us love to eat. Haha. Actually LOVE TO EAT SWEETS. Almost everyday at work someone will bring donuts (oh SNAPS), bagels (kill me now!), or bake a cake (this is for reals. Cake for breakfast and 3 o'clock coffee break). When I was Vegan in February of this year, I was able to manage not eating them yummy poisons. I got to put it in my mind that they are YUMMY POISONS. Cmon... I can do this for 1 month...

4. Pray more often
via
I don't really like to talk about religion on my blog, but prayer is pretty broad. I don't care to whom you pray to (God, Universe, Mother Nature, Allah, Hindu gods, etc), but I believe prayers are powerful. And I'm a believer that you got to pray in any situation and condition. Like the statement above, if you only pray during trouble times OR when you need/want something, there's something wrong. I was raised that you should pray during happy moments and during difficult times. And I know, I've been lacking in the happy-moments-prayer department. And I've been bad on praying before I go to bed. I want to start at least meditating for 5 minutes before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning

5. Purchase a decent pair of Boots - I'm a fan of biker/combat boots.
Boots and Comfort

That's my ideal Fall Fashion (again, I rarely talk about fashion). Skinny Jeans (which probably won't fit me *sad* Replace with leggings?), Flannel Shirt or Cardigan with a Tank Top underneath, with some really cool boots. I've been telling myself every Fall to get a legit pair of boots (like Frye) but it never happens. I ended up buying one from Forever 21 that doesn't last the whole season. I need solid one that lasts for a while. I know Frye is a great brand, but damn they're pricey. But hopefully I'll get one this season. (Hello, Pillow... I love you... Get me One!) I really can not wait for Autumn :)

So what are your goals for this September 2012? At the end of the month, I will post the results. Did I achieve any or none, we'll see by the end of September. Gosh, I hope I accomplish some!!!

Thanks to Melissa for the inspiration :)

Things I Love Monday, week 34 - 35

Happy Labor Day (weekend!)!!
Gotta love Mondays where you're off from work.
Seriously, I'm sooo lazy right now. My eyes are like barely open, it's ridiculous. But then, I'd rather do TiLM now than doing it tomorrow where I'll be tired from work.

Why am I tired. Because I did this.

The hike was ridiculous (like I said before, I'm no outdoor person, nor a fit girl), but once you see the water, it was like, "WHOA"... Then it got "WHOA"-er when you're at the edge of the cliff, contemplating to jump or not. Damn. Took me about 5 minutes to convince myself to freakin' jump. Then I thought about my stress in life, and I was like, "F@$% this, $#!+, I'm doing this..." and jumped. Man, it felt liberating! Awesome. Rob did it like 5 times (no shame) and his last one was from one of the higher rocks. Such a brave man.

Thanks to Nneka, my old friend from the good ol' ER days (she works in ICU now at another hospital) from tagging along and facing our fears together. Thanks to Gaby for being driver and photographer. Thanks to Robert aka Pillow, Ryan, Heather for being crazy as me to do this. Thanks to Steph & Andrew who showed up right on time to jump before we left. So cool.

Also these past weeks, I spent some times with my Oma. 2 Tuesdays ago, I decided to say HI to my grandma at her house while I waited for my mother's massage. Chitchatted with her was so fun. Chimmy loves her house because of her backyard. He usually goes to the same mini lime tree, and pee on it. Damn. And today I went to her house to drop of my mother, but I was so hungry so I stayed for a while... My cousins came too so we just ended up eating and talking. We were there today for her birthday lunch (which is tomorrow). My GrandMa's awesome.

thanks to Elaine for the picture
Since week 34 was my call week, nothing crazy interesting happened. I was more homebound. Good thing is I didn't get called in at all. Yeah. Did some relaxing with the Pillow (who was busy doing his NFL drafting for Fantasy Football with his boys)... While I was at home during that weekend, I was fascinated by this young lady. She cracked me up.

Glozell is the $#!+. I was in tears watching her videos. This girl has too much time in her life to create these awesome videos. I have too much time to watch her videos! Seriously!!!

Oh another awesome news, I'm going to be an aunt!! My cousin is preggers with her first baby and I'm sooooooooo excited. YES! It means more trips to San Diego. I really hope she gets a GIRL. I need a GIRL in my life. Most of my friends are having boys. I want to spoil this peanut rotten!

Oh and congratulation to Alyx from Everyday is a new Adventure. She won my giveaway. Gurl, I shall mail it to you sometime this week! Yay!!

Oh oh oh... One more awesome thing :) I met up with 2 of my blogger friends this past weekend! I met up with Evani of Simply Evani & Nicole from Treasure Tromp at Downtown Disney. I asked the Pillow if he was bored with our conversation that evolves around blogging, and he said he found it interesting. He doesn't really read my blog (I don't think he reads my blog at all), so blogging to him, esp from a woman's point of view, is foreign to me. So he ended up asking me (otw home) about how did I knew these girls and how did I get followers, etc. Anyways, it was a huge pleasure to meet these 2 girls. So awesome.

thanks Evani for the Mustache Rings :)))))

Most definitely we will hang out again. Next goal is to hang out with Alex from Louise Amabilis. Maybe Gaby and I should hang out with you... and do a Friends marathon. Wooo aawwwww yeaa.
OOOOOO one more thing (I get excited). I'm planning to open a online store. No, not for my cupcakes. It's for my stuff. One day, I was staring at my closet and can not help to notice on how much clothes/crap/stuff I have. So I decided to create an e-store... aka online yard sale. It's still under construction (I need to measure the clothes I'm selling). I usually just dump them in a bag and drop it off goodwill, but in a way, they're too cute to just give it away. The prices will be like, affordable. Most of them are like clothes that don't fit me anymore (thanks to eating my baked goods) or just stuffs that I don't think that represents me anymore. It may represent you, so hopefully it'll get your interest. Once I get everything in order, I will announce it soon.

So I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Happy September!!

Cliff Jump: Success!!

Yes! So my friends and I did it! We were soooo excited that we attempted this jump.

Now our adrenalines are still pumping and we're down for some more adventurous stuff. Even me who dislikes the outdoors is down for some action!!

Give me some more ideas... We need it.

Next one in our list is the God's Bath.

If anyone can give us the directions to get to God's Bath, please shout it out!! We want to go there so bad!!! The Little Mermaid in Me is screaming, "I WANT TO SWIM!"

omg i'm so behind

Hi Bunnies.

Sorry if the blog is like abandoned. I'm so busy (doing awesome stuff) hence the lack of posts lately. I'm also behind on reading blogs. I see my Bloglovin reading list piling up as we speak (sad face).

But great things happened this past week. 2 of my 12 Things List is checked!

1. I FINALLY got my letter from Inland Valley Humane Society. YAAY. I got my date for orientation, and I can not wait to start volunteering at the shelter :)

2. I faced my fears and did the CLIFF JUMP! Best decision ever. (pictures to follow)

Ok, so I hope everyone have a great Labor Day Weekend.

I'm about to meet up with Simply Evani and possibly Treasure Trump too! Weeee this is so excited.

Louise Amabilis, your turn is next! I'll be in SD in  November for the Color Run. Say whaaaat???

xo,
Rima
