Secret Gift Exchange

As I type this and listen to my Putumayo playlist on my old iPod *bobbin my head*, I look back at these pictures and LOL. Too epic.

Btw this is the song that I'm listening to.

This little Arabic inside of me dances.

These are my Youth/Young Adults group from my church. Every Holiday season, I plan our annual Secret Gift Exchange (we don't believe in Santa, so no Santa in the name of the partay). This year the theme was Costume Party. I was delighted to see how my friends dressed up as. Too funny. Even though we don't believe Santa Claus, what's a Xmas Party without Santa? Comes my brother, Otin, dressing up as a Dirty Santa. Uh, thanks Bro.

Of course, I dressed up as Ellie the Elephant. Rob dressed up as a Chubby Iron Man. Spiderman is the host of the party, my cousin, TYJ.

Be prepare for some pictures.

Dirty Santa aka my Brother, Otin
Psycho Masseuse, my cousin Akira, who's actually a certified Masseuse. He brought his massaging chair
Spidey aka my cousin, TYJ
uh odd Iron Man. Yes, this is the Pillow
Future Brother In Laws, bonding, in a weird way, I guess.
Brother and Sister
Some weird BatMan
Waldo
Yes, Batman & Spidey can be friends
Ellie pretending to hide Waldo. And Spidey is photobombing. Creepy.
Dirty Santa
Even Batman Photobombs.
We got our own Psy and a creepy version of Edward
Even Romney visited.
Even our own "Pastor" visited and shook Santa's hand (he's our pastor's Son)
Half Devil/Half Angel, Black Swan and a Bumble Bee
Venus the Goddess
Animal Kingdom
Super Heroes and a villain. And Creepy Santa
Soldier wannabe
Saucy Minnie Mouse
Even Batman found his love
Can you link what Ellie's sign is to?
Ho Ho Ho
I got an Apron from Anthropologie! Yes, TEAL!!!
My Secret Giver was a Bank Robber
All participants.
Rob is missing because he went to another party right after.
I was so glad with the turn out and even the youth had a blast. I can't wait to plan for next years one.

Any of you had Christmas parties?

Guest Post: Insert Sarcastic Remark Here

Well well, it's November 1st. Meaning, it's a new month (duh?). Meaning, a new list will be up soon.
Speaking of list, let me introduce you a List-Lover-Sister of mine. This girl here is fuckin' hilarious (no shame on my f-bomb here because it's true). I forgot how I found her, for realz thru the interwebz. I fell in love with her blog and her personality when I read about her Future Husband list. I gave her a virtual high five. Just like a guest post that I did on her blog, we both decided to do it, the list way.
Why? Because we're list whores.
Oh and we both love Nutella.

Say hi to my Sister, Melissa.
blog // facebook // twitter // instagram  //  pinterest

Hey beautiful moon beamers! Melissa here from [insert sarcastic remark here]. I want to thank Rima for letting me post on her blog today. I'm a busy bee getting ready for Handmade Promenade and I thought I'd take a break from creating to share with you a few things. I've always been the type that liked to make lists. If you head on over to my blog and go back through the archives I used to list in a style similar to a Twitter feed, but before Twitter. Anywho, here we go.
  • things i need to say no to
    1. sweets - Nutella, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, candy. I have a sweet tooth like no other and boy oh boy has it been on one lately.
    2. sitting on my couch or at my computer not doing anything productive.
    3. the snooze button - IT'S TIME TO GET UP!
    4. that tall can of [insert brand name here] tea that I say is a treat for doing XYZ, when really it's because I don't want to drink water.
    5. adding more things to my already full plate.
  • recipe for a perfect weekend
    1. spending the weekend with him (I'm currently single, so him is no one specific, but someone special for sure.)
    2. brunch with friends on a sunny morning. preferably outdoors at one of my favorite brunch spots.
    3. basking in the sun with a good book. maybe even on a beach some where.
    4. lots of rest and relaxation
    5. extra days added to the regular weekend
  • confessions
    1. I leave dirty dishes in the sink at night. Horrible, I know. Sometimes I just don't want to spend the 5 minutes it'll take to wash them in the kitchen because my bed is calling my name.
    2. I tried to use my COMPUTER MOUSE to scroll through my twitter time line on my PHONE. user error
    3. I have never been to a Disney park. But that's going to change next year. I've also never had a S'more or carved a pumpkin.
    4. I drink out of the bottle, not A bottle, the bottle or container whatever. I also the ice cream out of the tub or bucket.
    5. I like some catchy mainstream pop music. Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, etc.
  • my last meal would include
    1. bacon
    2. red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting
    3. tall glass of sweet tea and lemonade
    4. Popeye's chicken strips with a biscuit and some mashed potatoes and gravy
    5. caesar salad
  • happy places
    1. my bed
    2. in my own head, usually lost in positive thoughts
    3. hanging out with friends - this usually involves music and/or food
    4. the beach
    5. traveling across the country and world

Wanna learn more about me? Stop by my blog, [insert sarcastic remark here]. It'll be fun. Thanks again Rima for having me.

Let Me See That...

THONG
Baby... That thong thong thong thong thong...

Ok... (I'm really laughing out loud right now listening to this song)...

Just make sure you don't have kids next to you while you play this video. OMG I'm still laughing.

After reading Mish's last entry regarding What's in the Butt, suddenly this song popped up in my head. I told her and she replied my comment with a youtube link of Sisqo's infamous Thong Song...

Which leads to...

Remember during the turn of the Century, circa late 90s - early 2000s, G-Strings and Thongs suddenly became big. I know it's been in the market since who knows when, but from what I remember, during my high school years, it was like, big. A trend. Girls want to have low cut jeans, and lean forward so guys can see, well... that thong thong thong thong. Or as wikipedia calls it, Whale Tailing.

I remember the first time, little Indo Rima, got expose to the image of a g-string or thong was in the early 90s at a music store (that sells, uh, cassettes) browsing thru albums and ran into the album of 2 Live Crew's As Nasty As They Wanna Be. Little Rima was like, "EWWWWW THAT'S SOOO GROSS!!!" Who knew, years later, that piece of cloth became so famous...

Well, to be fair, I did own like, 3 pairs. And threw it away within the week of purchase. Why? Hell, my  bootay didn't like it. It was like a forever wedgie.

One of my sisters (hi melissa), swears by it (at the time). She was like, "Actually Rima, it's pretty comfortable. You should try the G-string instead. It's like wearing nothing." Uh, No. Feeling like you're going commando all the time? No. I know there are some people out there like that feeling, but not me.  Ms. Rima here likes to feel secure. I like the secure feeling of having a DECENT piece of cloth hugging my hips and properly covering my ladybits. I just feel uncomfortable. Even Mother disapproves the thong. She tried it once and said, "I don't get it. Why do I wanna feel like I need to pick on my butt every second I walk? And I have a huge ass." Yes, for once, Mother and I agree (on the picking the butt part and her huge ass).

I know for most of the part theses days that the g-string/thong is meant for no-panty-lines when wearing certain clothes/materials. But luckily they have undies now that have that features. Aw yea.

So as for me... No Thong. Thong Song is okay though. Hella Catchy.

is it me, or there's too much booty up in here?
