Don't Worry

First, hit play and enjoy the tunes.

People worry, right? That's pretty much human nature. But if you make that worrisome feeling become your obsession and inhibiting your life, then some thing is wrong.

You're hitting that prime age and haven't found your right man/woman? Don't worry!
Your boyfriend/girlfriend turned out to be a dick/bitch? Don't worry! They are not worth your time and feelings! Take a long hot shower, wash your hair, cry it all out, get a tub of ice cream and then sleep (this is Rima's solution dealing with her personal stress)... Things will get better! Breathe in and breathe out. Be thankful that you're still living.
Your job is not compensating you what you deserve? Don't worry! When the right time comes, it will! You just have to be patient!
Your boyfriend hasn't proposed to you yet while all of your friends are married with kids? Don't worry!  (this is my story, people.) God will make things all beautiful in His time.
You're stuck in a dead end job and not chasing your dreams? Don't worry! Start planning your future and chase that dream! (this is my story, too!)

Every one has their own worries and problems. It all depends on how you handle it. I'm pretty amazed and proud of my beau, the Pillow. He's one of the smartest and hard-working person I know. He's still young for his current work/position/career, but he achieved so much in the past 2 years of his current job. Not only he works about 12-14hrs/day, Monday-Friday, he is in school completing his Law degree, and at the same time traveling all over the world (as part of his job). AND, not one complaining word he's ever said to me.

Meanwhile, I'm the Whiny Queen. Forever and for always. I think that's why I'm sane. He keeps me sane. He brings up the positive side of any negative thing I bring up. He helps me seek the better option. He always remind me to not worry.

So just like what Bob Marley said, "don't worry about a thing."

So like seriously...

When I saw that 100 number 2 days ago, I was giddy. Aw yeah. Tick tock tick tock I'm on my way for Vaccaaaay.

Despite with all the not so glamorous things about traveling to Asia, there are several things I'm afraid I get the jeepers-creepers on...

  • Flying Cockroaches aka La Cucarachas.
Yes, roaches in Asia are big, evil, ugly, gross and have wings. They fly to you. One minute you see them, you turn your head for 5 seconds and look back... they are gone. Swoosh... Next thing you know they are flying TOWARDS you. Omigod. I don't know how am I gonna handle this.

Meanwhile, enjoy this song below...

  • Mosquitoes... And these aren't your average little flying annoying crap. These spread them STDs diseases. Not only their bites are ridiculously itchy, you have a higher risk on getting typhoid and malaria. Uh great.
This would be me all day err day...

  • Leeches. They are so ugly. Ugly as shit. They are gross and they are everywhere especially near places with water. Ugh. It reminded me of my childhood in Jakarta where I saw a leech slimin away near my door. I went, "ZOMG a LEECH!" Girl here got them salts and sprinkled that damn leach with it and saw that little sucker shrink. Gross. Probably instead of throwing my glitter around Asia, I will probably throw Salt.
You see a pattern here? I hate insects. Period. There is no beauty in any insects. I don't even like earth worms. They are so ugly.

Gross.

Don't worry people. I got my vaccines in order and also my Malaria pills. DEET will be my BFF.

DEET spray smells gross.

Anyways, how was your day?

Self Five

why? because I lost 1.5 lbs as of today... Ya know, I'm on this Slim Fast diet with my family and it's been 1 week already. It's hard. I do feel the need to snack (which is encouraged) and once in a while I do crave Burgers. Mmm burgers.

But this past week made me watch what I'm eating... I'm sorta counting calories. Of course I cheat here and there, but it's not that bad.

Ok pretty bad... meaning, I had an allergic reaction bad. So on my 5th day, I had to attend a birthday party. Homegurl here pigged out eating pizza, pasta and Hanger 24 Orange Wheat beer. Mmm... Beer. It was all good until the following morning.

My face was inflamed. I had welts underneath my eyes and my face was just plain itchy. Not fun. And I knew what it was from. I believe I have a sensitivity to gluten/wheat. I went gluten/wheat overload the night prior and my payback was the next morning. No bueno.

Which made me realized I haven't had that many intake of bread, pastries and baked goods in the past week... aka low to no gluten. I also decided to switch my Slim Fast to Raw Meal powder shakes.

I do feel that my belly is less bloated and a little flatter than usual. Super score. Also my co-worker and I are starting to do our lunch-break laps around our hospital. I'm eating more lean protein, nut protein, trying to go more dairy free (I bought Coconut & Almond milk) and increasing my fruit and vegetable intake. AAANDDD I'm taking PreNatal Vitamins (gotta keep this impending womb healthy for future babies) and Vit. D. Mind you, I HATE pills. Gross.

So far my energy is a little bit better, I still need to work on my sleep hours (damn you Candy Crush).

I know it's only week 1 and rumor has it that it takes 21 days to form a habit. Damn 2 more weeks to go.

But shit. I lost 1.5 lbs and I'm proud, mija.

She loves Paris; He loves Barcelona (part 7)

Mini Series: 123

Aw yeah, still in Paris. This time I was brave enough to venture Paris by myself. I headed out via Metro to Montmarte for my baking class (bucket list: check!). If you ever get a chance to be in Paris and interested in taking a cooking class, try Cook'n With Class. Even Rachel Khoo taught some classes there before (lucky people!) Anyways, it was pretty nerve wracking for my solo venture but I survived. The class was fun! 1 chef, 6 students.

Of course we can take home what we baked so pretty much, being cheap me, I took enough for both Rob & I for breakfast :) Hahaha... We had these for the next couple of days. Seriously, they were gooooddd...

After devouring the croissants with Rob, we headed out to Musee de Lourve and strolled around Jardin des Tuileries. Knowing how famous this museum was and I wasn't in the mood for crazy touristy crowds, we waiting til like 45 minutes to closing time, just to see Mona Lisa. Score.

PS: Rob almost got mobbed by a scam artist lady who asked Rob if he dropped his "gold ring", in front of Lourve... Good thing I read about these before we left for our vacation. I was holding his arm and I literally pulled him as fast as I can and told him that she was a con artist.

Mind you, it was a cold day. It actually snowed. Yes. Snowing in Paris.

I look like an eskimo

After warming ourselves inside Lourve, we decided to walk around again, killing time because we had reservations for dinner at the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant. Yes, it's a nice restaurant inside the Eiffel Tower :)

Arc de Triomphe!
Seine River & Eiffel Tower!

The food was delish! It is recommended to make reservations, so if you do plan to go, do it.

Well... This dinner was special. Why? The Pillow gave me another promise ring (I broke my original one. womp)... I was really surprise. The promises was super exciting :) I can't wait til those 2 promises come true. Only time will tell!

you can see the ring, eh?

Seriously, looking back at these pictures makes miss Paris A LOT! Grrr...

Who won't fall in love with this scene...
