Links I Love Sunday

New Segment :)

I know everyone out there loves to browse around the internet (Umm... isn't it part of life?). If you're friends with me on Facebook (holla!), you probably know that I love to share some links/pictures as part of my statuses. Well, low and behold, I thought, "why not share it too with your blog readers?" Hence I created LiLS. So every Sunday I will post links that I enjoyed reading through out the week with hopes that you will enjoy it too. Yay.
  • Summer is coming up... which means beachy wavy hair :) There are a tons of products out there to create the I-just-came-back-from-the-beach hair, but why not make your own mist? (esp if you are not near the beach!)
  • I am a fan of Iron Man. My friend, Evani, is doing a giveaway at her blog for an Iron Man shot glass. Do it. It ends tomorrow, Monday @ 5PM. Hurry!
  • One of my Sisters and I are planning something, and I recommended these to make as refreshments. Yum.
  • One of my dreams is to attend an Indian wedding. This one is epic. I need an Indian BFF stat.
  • This article about destination weddings on a budget is pretty cool.
  • I am a member of Birchbox and I really recommend this service if you love beauty products. Awesome samples for $10? I'm sold.
  • The Death of Concert Tickets is pretty interesting. I still collect my old ticket stubs. It's part of my life's history.
  • This is pretty awesome. Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky has a vintage RV and goes on road trips with it. I'm jealous.
  • For those who love the Walking Dead, if you live near San Diego, I believe you will enjoy this maze/walk/run-for-your-life event. I'll pass.
And if you're a fan of New Girl, of course you know Schmidt. I've seen this video a while ago, but it never gets old. I need a Schmidt BFF in my life.

You Know I Love You So...

from here
As you may know, I have my undying love for Coldplay. Chris Martin is a genius. Thanks to spotify (which I encourage you to JOIN!), I can listen to ALL Coldplay's album from my iPhone. One of my favorite albums (ok all of them are my favorite) is the Live 2003 From Sydney. And of course Yellow is one of the top songs I love from that album. Just by listening to the song, you can feel the energy of Martin through his voice. Every time I hear it in my car, it puts a huge smile upon my face and it really makes my day better. Well on top of that of course, the lyrics of the song.

For 2012, both Rob & I selected "Yellow" as our song of the year (last year was "Fix You", this one is my personal favorite). So every time this song comes out, I remember my lovie, Rob.

Modcloth!

tis here!!!!! Finally got my Modcloth package :) So that's the dress that I purchased from Modcloth that I'll probably wear for my cousin's wedding. I love it, but the material wasn't what I expected (I think it's not fancy enough for a wedding, but who cares!) since it's cotton and very soft. I love how flowy it is, though. But how can you not love the Cupcake ring? It's one size fits all since it's adjustable. I recommend the ring! Too cute. Overall I am happy with my purchase :) Will definitely shop from there again!!!

If you want to get $10 off your first $50 purchase, click here.

Oh and also, my fellow blogger friend, Evani, is doing a giveaway. I'm an IronMan girl, so hellz yeah I signed up! Go and join the giveaway!!

Hope you have a great weekend ahead. I will be busy experimenting a new cupcake recipe. I will definitely blog about it :)

I Love Thrifting

Yes. I love thrifting. I've been doing this fun hobby since college years. I haven't done it in awhile maybe because it does take time to shop around and check out what the thrift store has. The fun part of thrifting is that you can get awesome deals on stuff. Today, at my local Goodwill, I manage to spend under $50 for 9 items. For reals you can't get that kinda deal at a department store. And most of these items are vintage, so I was sooo stoked! Haha...

I manage to get: 2 dresses, 1 romper, 1 skirt, 1 American Tourist bag, 1 8 oz Pyrex (my first one ever), 2 cute vintage Campbell mugs, 1 hot pink wood clogs & 1 vintage jewelry plate.

Yes, under $50 (including tax!! weeee).

I'm really tempted to start an etsy store, but that's another project in mind, hehe. Maybe I can do it as a start for my wedding fund? Hahahahahaaaargh.

Too bad my mother dislike thrift store. She doesn't know what she's missing ;)

le romper
i really want to make chicken soup now!
too cute
i have no clue what to do with this thing, but i want it!
i really love this dress. really nice to wear for a summer night date!
yes. hot pink clogs. too cool for work.
this looks like an 80s dress (yes, those are velvet!)
i love vintage luggages, so this was a must
yes, another addition to my growing flowy skirt collection
this thing is so awesome. i'm pretty sure Urban Outfitters would jacked the price of this piece
I have a feeling this hobby is gonna pick up soon. Poor paycheck. Does anyone out there love the thrift? Do share!
