Plane Ride Outfit!

With my upcoming random Swiss trip in August, I started to browse on what clothes to bring (yes, it's a month away) and what to wear for the plane ride.

Plane Ride Outfit

I'm all about comfort. I want easy out and easy go when it comes to going thru TSA/security. Wearing heels ain't my thang and I hate wearing complicated clothes, just incase I need to remove some items. Gah. Been there done that. Too much hassle.

So what type of plane rider are you? Comfy or Sassy?

Friday's Fancies (a link-up)

I haven't linked up in a while. Once in a while I will throw some in. Just for fun.

Life is all about having fun, right?

Also I don't really post about fashion. Once in a while I will throw some fashion in. Just for fun.

I think this outfit is fun. It's something I would wear to a concert. Like a No Doubt concert... Or even Warped Tour (which I haven't done in years). Concerts for me are all about comfort.

If you've gone to Warped Tour, it's all about heavy duty shoes just in case you get stepped on (so common)... or suddenly someone lifts you up to crowd surf and some random dude just starts to grope you, those Docs come in handy for kicking him in the face (true story).

Have a great Friday! (linking up with Long Distance Loving)

What I Wore Sunday

Happy Memorial Day weekend!! May y'all enjoy all the BBQs and that sticky smoky smell in your hair.

I'm going to Little Tokyo via Metrolink because I enjoyed my last trip with my co-worker to LA a couple of weeks ago. This time is more of a foodie trip. I ain't BBQing...

Mmm I'm craving Ramen. And some Japanese Milk Buns. bunsbunsbuns.

Anyways, since SoCal's weather is being weird again, I decided to dress... safe. I hate getting cold so I decided to pull some leggings on. I may regret later if the weather turns warm. Damn.

Shirt: H&M Paris
Tank Top: Target
Leggings: Target
Socks: Forever 21
Pinky ring: somewhere from Hong Kong
Ring finger ring: Tiffany & Co.
Earrings: Claires
Glasses: David Cardigan from Coastal.com
Lipstick: Christian Dior from my BFF in Paris

I might carry a cardigan with me (i hate the collddddd)

Eat up people. And let's remember the soldiers that fought for our FREEDOM.

Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday @ Disneyland

Sunday Funday... Or Lazy Sunday... Gonna hit Disneyland for a couple of hours because I have nothing to do and was invited to go by Gaby... You know... Spending time with her as much as I can before she heads back home to Indonesia.

I had a hard time deciding what to wear... since I gain weight again. Nothing looks good on me. Sad but true. Then I saw my vintage Beckham Manchester United Jersey and I was like, "Oh haaay... Let's wear this." Then bam. Went on polyvore and decided to make a collage. I'm bored, y'all.

Yes I will use that exactly Longchamp purse... Those Minnie Ears... That colored pants... Bringing my Canon AE-1 and where those chucks.

Before Disneyland, we're heading to Tranquil Tea Lounge since we're both tea whores. Tea-ing it up like the Brits... But in a lounge? This should be interesting!

Hope y'all have a great weekend :)

Rima

I'm No Fashion Blogger...

But I can tell you, I do love clothes. My daily clothes mainly consist of... OR SCRUBS.

via
Well... for Monday to Friday that is. Then at home I'm most likely a slob and on the weekends I try to put some decent clothes. Something like that.

Anyways, my BFF ChickenBoo here is flying all the way from Indy to Cali to visit me (and only me. ok, JK). We're gonna have so muccch fffunnn... She's so nice, she wrote up a post for me while I'm gone.

You go girl.

Hey party people, Melissa here from [insert sarcastic remark here]. I'd like to thank Rima for letting me post here today while she's over in Europe catching a futbol game and baking croissants in sweet Paris. I'm here at home anxiously waiting for the rest of March to pass so I can get myself to California and mark another goal off my 12 things list (a link up created by Rima). If the new luggage I ordered was here I'd be packing my bags already. Can you tell I'm super excited? Here are a few outfits I'd like to pack. I'm a little tired of jeans and heavy jackets and I'm ready for shorts and dresses.

a day at disney

I can't wait to hit Disney when I'm in California. I'm 33 years old and I've NEVER been. I thought something easy and comfy for walking around all day. Add a cardigan for the evening and some nice natural make up for a fresh look. A nice nap sack to carry around my camera and other essentials for a long day. Chucks are my favorite.

at the beach

I haven't been to the beach since 2006 and even then I didn't get to squish my toes in the sand. I miss it. I'd love this bikini if I didn't have ginormous boobs. I'm ready for the beach. Sitting in the sand, hanging with friends soaking up the sun, reading a good book and listening to some of my favorite tunes.

dinner with friends

Lastly, I plan to enjoy tons of good food. Dresses are perfect for eating. They hide the food baby and nothing constrictive around the waist. Ha! I have plenty of places on my list that I want to eat at. I just hope that I get the chance to visit them all. I'm also taking suggestions for other places to visit or eat at, so stop by my blog and leave me a comment or shoot me an email.

Wanna learn more about me? Stop by my blog, [insert sarcastic remark here]. It'll be fun. Thanks again Rima for having me. I can't wait to see you next month.

Review: My First YesStyle Purchase

Woot. I finally received my YesStyle purchase! It took a long time, even though the shipping was UPS Express International. It got to the States 1 day after they shipped, BUT it had to go thru customs (they ship from Hong Kong) so it took a good 1 week + or so. Dank. So if you want the item soon, gotta get them ASAP. Actually, I finally contacted UPS 2 days ago because I didn't know what was going on, all they did on the online was saying that my delivery will get reschedule (this was for a whole week at least). I was getting frustrated. So pretty much my complaint about this purchase was on UPS, not on YesStyle. They did they're job right. 2 days after I asked UPS what's going on, my items arrived today! Woot.

I look like crap right now (after work) so for sure no outfit post for me, but here are the stock pictures of the 2 items I got :)

I got an oversized Cardigan (the one I got was similiar, I don't have deers on mine) and a really cute Beanie with a Bow. The Cardigan didn't look as "baggy" like the model on me (she's way more petite than me). And my skin is pretty sensitive... The website stated it's Acrylic Blend, but it feels like wool to me. I'm pretty sensitive to wool, so my arms started getting itchy. I will wash it first and give it a try. I hope it is Acrylic.

The beanie is super aDORKable on me. I look all weird in it. I'm just tired haha. The material is soft and I love that it has a slouchy look to it. It's super adorable to wear with a warm coat or sweater, esp if you have long and wavy hair.

For Your Entertainment, I made snap of a video via the VineApp of the items.

Maybe when I look presentable, I will make a decent post of me in these stuffs.

Has anyone ordered from YesStyle?

moonbeams,
Rima

disclaimer: yes, I am affiliated with YesStyle, but this post was just me sharing my items. I was not compensated for this post. I simply ordered the stuffs myself and actually decided to be affiliated to them after I did my purchase.

What I Wore Saturday

It's raining like mad in SoCal and I was determine to wear a coat to church. But of course I still want to look cute "inside" my coat so I went cray looking thru my closet. So I came up with this outift.

Dress & belt: forever 21
cheetah stocking: forever 21
Shoes: Kimchi Blue

and I cut my hair on Friday. Best decision ever.

Keep warm (or cool) wherever you are!

xoxo Rima

Yes... to Style.

I just purchased a cute oversized Cardigan and a super cute beanie from YesStyle.com!!

If you haven't heard about YesStyle, it's a online retail store that mostly caters to the Asian (Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan) Fashion. Every time I browse around the site, it reminds me of those Japanese magazines that I read whenever I'm in Kinokuniya.

The prices are super reasonable and the fashion sense is just awesome. There's a mix of cute, elegant and fun in it.

I can't wait to get my items and wear it and show it to y'all :)))

bunny kisses,
Rima

disclaimer: yes, I am affiliated to YesStyle, but this was just my humble opinion about the site. I was not paid for this. Also, this is my first time purchasing from the site! Yay.

So I'm Selling My Stuffs.

So if you follow me on twitter/instagram, you probably seen me ranting about my desire to go back to school. Not medical related at all. But belly related aka Pastry School.

I ranted like this: So tempted to sell my possessions and go to Pastry School.

Then I got a reply...

So I was like, uh stalker much? But it's so cool though. I tweeted back and got this in the email,

Kinda cool. The school looks legit, but tuition is killer. But my heart yearns for it. Damn. They only have two schools, one in NYC (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and the other in Silicon Valley, CA.

I do have some stuffs that I want to sell. I have some vintage dresses that don't fit anymore (thanks to my ginormous appetite and foodie hangouts with the Pillow). I used to sell via ebay so tweeted, "i think on my day off (if i ever have one!), i'm gonna start snappin pictures of my possessions and sell them on ebay. Hmmm..."

Then later on, I checked my little blue bird and saw this...

uh, stalker much? But I did it anyways.

Hence this.

Photobucket

click on the banner and you'll be directed to my eBay page. For realz.

This whole selling my crap thing was so much inspired by Mish and Melissa. Mish sold her stuff because she's so awesome and traveling the world with her Boo, V-Dizzle. Melissa is selling stuff (personal and her own handmade) because she wants to move to another apt.

They have a reason. My reason is I want to go back to school. Pastry School. I have found my passion. I do love saving lives and being a nurse, but I can't picture myself doing that for the rest of my life. I'd rather be in a kitchen covered in flour, face smeared with egg whites, and shoes filled with sugar. You get the gist.

I want to own a chef hat and jacket in Teal. Legit.

ps: notice the new pop up thing above the page? that goes straight to my eBay link. Holla. Thanks to Melissa :)

So Mother Convinced Me...

... to get another designer bag.

The last time I purchased a designer bag was like, 4 years ago? I'm not sure.

First off, I'm not a big designer freak. I don't read fashion magazine. I'm not a fan of the Kardashians. I'm more of a laid back, chill, "cheap" fashionista. I've been a big fan of Thrift Stores since College. But I'm also a big fan of Nordstrom's Rack and Off 5th Ave... and of course, Ross, Marshall's & TJ Maxx... (Can you tell how much I love bargains?)

Anyways, the only designers that I like are L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani (helloooo) and Marc Jacobs. I have several purses by them and I purchased them awhile back.

So thanks to the evil Polyvore, which makes me lust for stuffs and wish that I have lots of money, I made a collage.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Bag

Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Bag by natziepatzie featuring red jewelry

So those are the two styles that I want. I love the Petal to the Metal line and I've been wanting to have one. But damn, why you so expensive -___-

So how about you? Do you have a favorite brand?

Since It's Sports Season...

Sports Team Gear

Sports Team Gear by natziepatzie featuring canvas slip on shoes

Since I'm dating a man who puts sports above me (I'm so used to it. I put food above him... JK), I came to appreciate sports a little bit more. At first I didn't really care about American Football aka NFL, but since The Pillow is a big Green Bay Packers fan and they did superb in 2010-2011 and ended up winning the Super Bowl XLV, I became a fan by choice. But then, I ended up liking the whole game of it, maybe because now I understand a little bit more of the game. He even took me to a Packers - Chargers game last year for his birthday, front row and all (and I got to stare at Aaron Rodgers' ass ass ass ass). Anyways, I thought, since I'm a girl, why not create like a guide line for me on how to dress up for a game day. I'm all about comfort. Especially when I'm watching the game in a bar or so, surrounded by intoxicated fans.

One time, I went to an English Pub in Santa Ana for a ManUtd vs Chelsea game and it was intense. We got there pretty late (I had my ManUtd shirt and Rob had his Chelsea shirt), so we were standing near the door/bar watching the game and I was there surrounded by drunk fans. It was crazy and funny. Good thing I dressed comfortably. Imagine if I was one of those sports fashionistas wannabe with high heels, I would tumble down and no one would care, because they were more into the game. Haha. Even Rob would probably ignore me, esp I'm a fan of the opposite team, hahaha...

Also, I'm a Lakers fan by default. My whole family (mom, dad, brother, most of extended family) are avid Lakers fan. We even have a hole in our house from my brother punching the wall because he was so pissed off from a game. Now it's covered with a picture of him and G-Ma. Haha. We finally went to our first Lakers game last year or two years ago, I think. I even bought a Lakers t-shirt for the occasion. The game was intense. It was with Houston Rockets and we got free tickets from a nice lady from church who's a Season Ticket holder. Anyways, in front of us were these super annoying rich teenagers who were rooting for the Rockets. They were so rude (one reason why I wish I was in Indonesia and I can actually yell at them without getting sued) to the surrounding Lakers fans. Mother and I were like, wth, but ignored them. The other people around us could not stand them. Father and Brother were just like, whatever I'm focusing on the game. Anyways, the game went on to double overtime (I wanted to go home so bad) with Lakers winning the game. Super intense. Off course the rowdy teenagers, with their underage beers, were acting all pissed, cussing the world, and leaving the area while yelling profanity to the other Lakers fans, and one was staring at me, I just flipped the bird and said, "Sorry Mother F(low)ers." Hah, his face was priceless.

Well, I don't know why this entry ended up being about my sports stories, but hey! Why not dress up for your team, eh?

Do any of you watch sports? Any favorite team(s)? Share!

ps: gotta love Polyvore. Dangerous.

Uh so I've reached 50+ followers... This is a Giveaway :)

and I decided to do a giveaway...

beforehand, I saw a package in the mail today and went all excited!!! My orders are here! Yes, I went jewelry crazy. After I opened each one of them, I was like, "ooooohhh they're sooo cuteeee"...

to realized... I don't need all of these!! Hahaha... I do, from time to time, do random purchases out of nowhere.

anyways, I realized, I have managed to have 50+ followers. I would never in a million years would think that I will ever have followers for my simple little blog. And now I have 50 and growing. Thank you for all of your supports, bunnies.

so in the midst of my compulsive purchase, as a little thank you for my 50+ followers, I'm giving away 3 of the cuties that I bought.

  1. This cute little crown is too cute. Its meant to be a pinky ring. When I tried it on, I felt the little royalty in me going high and about. You know. Like I was meant to be Prince Harry's wife. I would do naked pool with him.
  2. This little Kuma (means Bear in Japanese) is so cute. It's adjustable. Remember, Kuma is my nickname for the Pillow aka Robert aka Boyfriend, because he's just a teddy bear to me (read: CUDDLY). Hopefully this ring can remind you of that special someone who's cuddly like a teddy bear. It can be your man, baby/kid, or your pet. All of them are cuddly, right?
  3. This is a Sparrow Ear Cuff for your awesome ear cartilage! It's adjustable too. If I can find a Mockingjay *coughhungergamescough* man... that would be soo awesome.
So. Are you interested? If so, participate :) spread the word.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway ends this Friday!

Cool thing is, once you do the Mandatory entries, there are 5 options that you can DO every single day until the giveaway ends. Meaning... More options to win.

PS: I'm doing another giveaway too... HERE. I'm so generous ;P

Jewelry Swap!

YAYYY... I was so happy to join the Jewelry Swap, hosted by Melissa from The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife.

So when I received my package last week, I was soo excited! The rule is that you send a piece of jewelry to a blogger that she assigns (with the help of her assistant, Kendall), and you will get a piece of jewelry as well from another secret blogger (you won't know the blogger until you receive your package).

My awesome bohemian necklace that I got was from Jeni Q from Two Shades of Lovely. So happy with what I got. It's very me, haha. Good job, Jeni :)

Thanks to Melissa for hosting this :)

What I Wore to Church

Church is the only time of the week where I put on some "decent" make-up and wear some nice clothes.

On rare occasions, I would put on some lipstick. Like today.

On rare occasions, I would post aboutc clothes. Like today (and yesterday).

On rare occasions, I would take a picture of myself not smiling. Like today.

The dress might look familiar because it's the dress I wore to the flash-mob I did. It's thrifted. Woo.

Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: MIA
Belt: Forever 21

woo.

First ASOS purchase :)

it's this one. shoes: LAMB

As you may notice, I RARELY post pictures about fashion or clothes, except if I purchased some Vintages. I'm not a big fashionista (I'm a Jeans/TShirt girl. Or Yoga Pants/Tank girl), I rather focus on like food. Foodies Unite.

Anyways, there's a wedding coming up in mid-September, and I remember seeing an ASOS ad on someone's blog. Can't remember. So I checked it out. And it's awesome. Free Shipping for BOTH ways? Awesome. AAAANNDD at the time of purchase, there was a back-to-school discount code, so it made it more awesome. Plus, it's from the UK (I LOVE UK). Wicked.

So I settled for this dress and I love it.

Even Mother approved.

She said, "I've been praying for the day that you dress up nicely. It came true." (not her actually words, but I kinda knew it meant that way).

I'm not embarrassed about my size, so the one I'm wearing is size US 10 or EU 42 or UK 14. It fits well. I'm normally a size US 8, but I was afraid with my recent awesome weight gain (food food food all the waaay), I opted for a size bigger, and I was happy of what I did. I'm pretty sure the 8 will fit, but I'm afraid it will be too short and the audience will focus more on my thighs then the bride. I don't want to steal her thunder, you know, with my thunder thighs. My thunder thighs are just for the Pillow to enjoy (love you, boo).

Anyways, I recommend ASOS. Pretty cool stuff. iLike.

disclaimer: ASOS has nothing to do with this. It was purely to express my love for this store that I just fairly knew about.
BUT if you're ASOS, hook a girl up yo.

Yes I am back... and Bolu's First Giveaway!!!

I was awake by 6 AM to the noise of Chimmy taking a piss on to Gaby's suitcase. Sorry love, I'll clean it. Damn. This past week I was awaken by the New York Humid Heat and the sound of drills and people yelling outside (we had the windows up due to NO AC in the apt) and now I've been awaken by my Dog just... pissing.

Anyways, when I was in New York, I immediately know where I wanted to go to shop. The Japanese version of H&M called Uniqlo. So far for right now, they only have 3 locations in the US, all in New York.

What I love about Uniqlo is that they're SUPER affordable. It had that Japanese feel to it. All 3 stores are at least 3 stories so you know Gaby & I went crazy. I spent $80 on 7 clothing items. Yes. 7. Uniqlo rules.

Uniqlo also has an Alarm app for the iPhone. I have it and I use it all the time. It's cute. Kawaii.

So anyways, when I was there, I went to the Special Edition side. It's where Uniqlo collaborates with artists or other designers to come out with their own version of clothing. You know, like when H&M collaborated with Karl L at one point. There were a lot of CUTE T-Shirts and I decided to pick 2. One with Lulu Guinness and one with Hello Kitty.

But, why do I need two t-shirts? My closet looks like shiz especially now after coming back, so I decided, you know just from being awesome, to host a giveaway for y'all.

ONE WINNER WILL GET TO CHOOSE ONE OF THESE T-SHIRTS!

Who doesn't love free stuffs? If you don't, shame on you.
THIS
OR
THIS?
Both shirt are size M. Retail is $19.90 (partay like 1990)

Aren't they cute? The giveaway is super easy just follow the box below to enter. The entry ends Friday by Midnight and the winner will be announced on a separate blog post and you will be showered with Blog Love. You get a special Winner Blog Post filled with oohs and aahs and fist pumps (oh jeah i can be festive like that)

Guest Post: Simply Evani

Well... While I'm on my plane heading to the Big Apple while listening to that infamous Jay Z & Alicia Keys song (can we all sing in unison, "IN NEEEWWWW YYYOOOORRRKKK..."), here I present to you one of my Bloggie BFF, Evani of Simply Evani. She's gonna share to you some advice on something I'm not very good at: Current Fashion. Lol. Yes, I'm not that Fashion Frenzy, as I must say. I think I only shop for clothes if I need to. You can catch me in the same jeans with a different top at any given day. Maybe it's because I use scrubs from Monday - Friday. So by the time I hit weekends, I'm just confused on what to wear. Oh well. I'm confusing myself just talking about it. I usually just shop a thrifts and H&M, F21 or Macy's for special occasions. Woop.
----
Hi there! I'm Evani and I blog over at Simply Evani. I was crazy excited when Rima asked me to guest post on her wonderful blog because 1. I completely adore her and 2. She's headed to NYC which is on my bucket list! I thought it'd be really fun to do a style post on summer NYC style, in honor of her fab trip.

So I've heard New York can be quite humid in the summer so I opted for light pieces but a cardigan for when the stores are blasting the a/c. Going from flats to heels can take this outfit from day to night, especially if you throw in a sexy leather jacket at night. The crossbody is a good size to hold close to your body in the subway, while the clutch is perfect for a night out! And I've heard it will occasionally rain, so I threw in a cute umbrella just for good measure.

I mean I watch a lot of Gossip Girl so my expectations could be unreasonably high but how fun would this outfit be in NYC?

Over at Simply Evani, I will blog about anything under the sun whether it be a cupcake recipe, crafty DIY or styles I'm crushing. I'm guilty of loving Disneyland way more than any adult should and consider myself a total social media addict. Much like Rima, I LOVE the Backstreet Boys, I have a BF named Rob and have a soft spot for Channing Tatum (Can I get an amen?!). I hope you come check me out, I promise to try and be cool.

Thanks for having me Rima!! You rock my socks.
------
After reading this, now I have an idea on what to pack (ok... not really. haha. I'm confused). Thanks to Evani for having time to post this. She rulez.

Look what I got in the Mail?

So I was browsing around my blog-friend, Evani, and saw an ad for Julep. And they had a code. Promo Code. It was PENNY. And the whole box was literally, a penny.

So I received my box today, and was very excited when I opened it. Got 3 colors, named Lily (Fuchsia Creme), Sasha (Cantaloupe Melon Creme) & Charlotte (Lavender Creme). Super fun colors for Summer.

I can't wait to try them on! I even bought some make-up sponges to make some ombre effect. Would be cool to do all 3 colors. Hmm...

Anyone sign up for Monthly Boxes? Currently I'm doing this, Birchbox and Birchbox Men for the Pillow. Dangerous, people. Dangerous.

Modcloth!

tis here!!!!! Finally got my Modcloth package :) So that's the dress that I purchased from Modcloth that I'll probably wear for my cousin's wedding. I love it, but the material wasn't what I expected (I think it's not fancy enough for a wedding, but who cares!) since it's cotton and very soft. I love how flowy it is, though. But how can you not love the Cupcake ring? It's one size fits all since it's adjustable. I recommend the ring! Too cute. Overall I am happy with my purchase :) Will definitely shop from there again!!!

If you want to get $10 off your first $50 purchase, click here.

Oh and also, my fellow blogger friend, Evani, is doing a giveaway. I'm an IronMan girl, so hellz yeah I signed up! Go and join the giveaway!!

Hope you have a great weekend ahead. I will be busy experimenting a new cupcake recipe. I will definitely blog about it :)

moonbeams & bunny kisses,
