Link-y Fridaaay

view from my room

Oh it's Friday. One day closer to shaving my legs.

Hot Mess Report: Did you know, I only shave my legs on Saturdays? Why? Because the weekends are the only time I see the Pillow. The weekends are the only time that I wear cute and pretty clothes. Mon to Fri my fashionable clothes are oversized Surgical Scrubs. Sassy.

Anyways, I would like to show some love to fellow bloggers by sharing some of my favorite posts of them...

  • Richelle from Richellephant post something that I had in mind lately. When I read item #2 on her post, I completely agree (and felt guilty) with it. We are sooo consumed with our "digital" life that we tend to ignore the actually living, breathing life we have in front of us. I'm not ashamed to state that my very own mother is very consumed with her digital social life that she tends to ignored us whenever we're striking a conversation with her. Her response, "Oh wait, I need to respond to this comment." Sometimes it pisses me off that I just end up walking away. I usually don't regret much but I truly do regret introducing my mother to Facebook. Sometimes I wish Facebook should just die.
  • Stef from Cupcake Project posted about freezing eggs. Excuse me? BEST THING EVER. I always have left over egg whites or yolks from baking and I always think it's a waste to just throw those unused products away.
  • Kat of Pugly Pixel posted about Frankie, which is a magazine from Australia, and they have an App. Too freakin' cute.
  • Casey of True Colors posted pictures of her recent trip to Paris. Of course, I'm utterly jealous.
  • Setarra, my bff from NYC, of Quaintrelle went to Bronx Zoo in her quest to kill NYC before she moves to Virginia, makes me wanna play with animals. Well, girl, let's aim for Swimming with Dolphins, eh?
  • Gwyneth Paltrow of goop (YES, the wife of Chris Martin of Coldplay aka that famous movie star) just recently vacationed to Indonesia (my heritage!!!!!) and dedicated a whole blog post about it. #proud
  • Last but not least, Janna for Perception is Everything posted about signs and symptoms (I just sounded like a nurse now) of again, aka Signs that You are Almost 30. I cried a little because I can relate. I'm 29. Dirty Thirty is next year. Oh My.
If you have any good reads, please share :)

Links I Love Sunday

Holly Schmolly it's Sunday already... Time flies so fast.

I have a confession: I'm addicted to Stumble Upon. Man, you get great great sites recommended for you. It's a great tool to browse around, especially when you're bored.

  • You know me... I love food. Now, making your favorite food more awesome, I found this article. Not sure if I want to put peanut butter in my ramen, but it won't hurt to try, eh?
  • I love my dog. If I had a house, I would totally go here to as a reference for some doggy places around the home.
  • Like seriously... if dogs can help another dog out, how come we can't? Sometimes I think humanity needs to learn from animals sometimes.
  • I love Cinnamon Rolls. One of my weakness. Now Cinnamon Roll Pancakes? Let's party.
  • Again, I love my dog. Now if only workplaces would allow you to bring your pet, that would be awesome. Well, it depends on what type of workforce you do. But seriously, if you have your own office, wouldn't be so cool to bring your dog/cat with you? It can relief some stress out of a stressful day at work!
Well, I hope you all have a great Sunday. I'm still struggling about the distance between me & Rob while he's gone. More on that soon.

MOONBEAMS!

Links I Love Sunday

Hey Ho Let's Go.

It's Sunday yo. So how did everyone survived their Halloween party??? I didn't party because I didn't party. I'm doing a pizza partay of my own right now... (part of October goal!).

As y'all nurse yourself to health (if you drank that much of booze), I'm gonna share links I loved for the past week.
  • Oh Lord. Did any of you acted lady like towards your man until you're like officially official? Let's talk about farting. This lady's story made my Sunday afternoon. Honestly, I did. Then I knew it was love when Rob started farting in front of me. Then he said, "how come you're not farting?" Win.
  • Ok. So I'm like a Travel Wannabe... And reading this article on how to score great deals for traveling makes the little nomad in my excited.
  • Being an Animal lover, this video brought me to tears. I was like sobbing. Embarrassing.  But I'm so happy this elephant is saved.
  • Now I love proposal videos, and I give props to this guy. Yes, cheesy song but the effort is bomb.
  • I love dogs. Now Let's take a Minute to Appreciate them.
  • I love dogs (again). Watch this video. I cried like for 2 full minutes.

I hope you all have a good Sunday :)

Links I Love Sunday

  • I signed this petition. Dogs & Cats shouldn't be devocalized because of their barking/meowing.
  • My goodness... This doctor deserves to get his license revoked. SHAME ON YOU. May peace be with the parents.
  • I love Gala Darling. Her article about the Saturn Return explains a lot of my recent struggles. I don't really believe in astrology but I love reading about it.
  • I love this little picture from Pinterest. I shed a tear.
  • Again, I love reading about Astrology. If you want to know your Astrology Report, Cafe Astrology is the bomb. Pretty accurate too. Interesting.
  • This mom deserves that 99 years
  • Wow. This 14 year old girl is very brave. I pray for a speedy recover for Malala Yousafzai.
  • Let's talk about Spice Girls. I'm pretty sure everyone and their Mama (at least if you're 21 and up for this generation) would know who the Spice Girls are. I hope. Anyways, who would relate to? Sporty? Ginger? Baby? Scary? or Posh? I'm still with Posh. Forever Posh.
  • Yes, I'm still on the to-Ombre-or-Not-to-Ombre on the hair department. Should I spend $200+ or just less than $20 DIY by myself? This girl is convincing me to do it DIY.

Link's I Love Sunday

hah, it's been awhile for me to share some links that i love. i haven't been browsing a lot lately since i worked too much (where's the money, dammit!) and trying to spend as much time with the Pillow as possible since we're both busy and live far from each other...

So here we go (ole ole ole)

  • My first love of Sport is Soccer. I got this from the Pillow and glad that Soccer is growing in the US.
  • I just had a deja vu moment reading this article (wth...)... Anyways, I fell in love with Bikram Yoga a while back, but just too damn shitty lazy to do it. I tried Hot Vinyasa Yoga, I liked it but I still preferred Bikram. I think I should just quit my gym membership and just join Bikram again.
  • I'm really disgusted by this 14 year old girl. Shame on you, girl. Now you're going to waste your life in prison over an innocent baby.
  • hahahaha... gotta love animal photobombs!
  • I don't know what I'm reading, but this guy is sick. And the teenage girl is ... gah... should know better.
  • If you love Dogs as much as I do, this video will melt your cold heart.
Hahah as you can see I haven't browsed lately. I need to do more reading. Poo.

Links I Love Sunday

First of all for my Muslim (and more specific, Muslim Indos) Friends,

from here
Happy Eid Mubarak. or Selamat Hari Idul Fitri is what I used to say. What I missed the most of this tradition is EATING! Eating the traditional Indonesian Lebaran food. Hmm... And I miss (sorta) listening to the prayers from the Mosque. Ah memories.

Anyways, here are the links that I love love love this week.

  • I still still love this top video. OH MY DAYUM!
  • I know most of you have facebook. Admit it. And I'm pretty sure you're in one of these Facebook type of users. I'm guilty too.
  • I hope this guy will rest in peace and pain-free. So sad. So young.
  • Converting Shipping Containers to a Living Space? GENIUS. I wish I have this creativity and talent.
Man, I don't want it to be Mondayyyy :((

Links I Love Sunday

Hello Hello. As I "try" to resume regular blogging action, let's start with LiLS! It probably won't be a big list since I was in vacation... but nevertheless, let's get to it!

  • I'm obsessed with Venus Palermo. I was youtubing How To Do Sailor Moon's Hair (that's another obsession) then saw Venus's Tutorial. Damn this girl is cute yet so bizarre. She's born in Switzerland but now currently residing in London. Her accent is so thick, she sounds more Japanese than German. I grew up reading manga and watching Anime, so this is soo weird to see the so-called Living Doll talking.
  • Pinterest is taking my life.
  • I read this Article about this guy, Daniel, who didn't intended to get another dog... ended up falling in love with this stranded dog. AWWW.
  • Digging the above cover. Boyce Avenue is awesome. I have ALL of their albums in my Spotify account. haha.
  • Working in the hospital, we do have some Code Pink drills, or even Code Pink announce randomly because the parents took their baby pass the permitted line. Well thank God for CODE PINK anyways... This lady got caught in Garden Grove stealing a newborn. Shame on her.
  • Such a great article by Newsweek about the internet. Does it make us mad/crazy/depressed? Read On.
Some times it's hard to get back in to the groove after a vacation. I just want to veg in bed and recap pictures from the vacation and eat a bowl of ice cream and cry wishing I was still that place of vacation.

Damn it's Sunday already, which means it's Monday tomorrow. Damn.

Links I Love Sunday

Sunday Sunday. Man, the week goes by so quickly. Sometimes I just don't get it. It felt like I just posted links I love like yesterday. Damn.

Any hizzle, here are the things that amused me over the week.
  • One of my favorite blogger, Gala, shared her tips on having that beauty sleep. After having a rough call back (I got called in for a case at 1.42 AM after only having 2 hours of sleep, and left the hospital at 5 AM, got only 2.5 hours of sleep and then work til 5.30 PM that day. Damn) and having problems falling asleep because my brain won't shut up, I read this article and did some of the things she suggested. I sprayed some yummy honey vanilla pillow mist, played some hypnosis app on my phone, had the air on, ate some bread and finally fell asleep like 45 minutes after I shut my eyes. AND I'm one of those people who have no problem on sleeping. I guess when your mind is just running 100 mph, no matter how tired your body is, sometimes you just can't sleep :(

  • Ringling Bros Circus is in town for the weekend in my area, and after watching this video (I couldn't even watch the video on its whole entirety), I vow not to watch any Circus that involves any animals whatsoever. I'm planning to join PETA on doing a silent protest today and tomorrow after work. My cousin did it while the Circus was in LA and she did it on the first show in Ontario (my area). Go Lisa Go. I'm an animal lover, especially now having a dog, I get really sensitive when I see abused animals. I cringed and sometimes cry when I see dogs or cats get ran over and died in the streets. Please, if you have a pet, watch them. Don't let them run loose and out of your sight. My mom one time, ignorantly left the front door open (I was at work) and Chimichanga ran loose. 1 hour later she realized that Chimmy was gone and started freaking out. Luckily Chimmy is a friendly dog and he was just hanging out with my neighbor who has a Pomeranian too that was fortunately just chillin' in front of his house. You don't know how upset and disappointed I was at my mom. Urgh. Never again.

  • One of my BFF, Gaby, did a photo shoot with my buddy photographer, Ollie, from A Sight Of Love. Super fierce. If only Ollie can do a photo shoot of us while we're in NYC. Oh the possibilities.
  • My goal in life is to play with baby pandas. Supa Kawaii.
  • Umm, hello, Iron Man. This sexy man is soooo fierce.
  • Read this article about Kate Upton, that sexy Sports Illustrated Model. Thoughts? I think it's berserk. She is sexy. Not fat.
  • and of course, we can all relate to this video above.
my fav scene from 21 Jump St. Via

hope you all have a great week ahead.

Links I Love Sunday/Confession Session

Sunday Funday!
It's sooo hot in SoCal, it feels like an oven in my car (I have a black car *whomp whomp*), and it feels good to jump in to the pool (but I'm not a big fan of public pools). Any hoo, I'm staying cool in my own room and taking advantage of the sunlight to dry out my project (ya know, the one by Elsie from A Beautiful Mess). I'm doing 3 at once! Haha...

Well well, let me share you some links that I found awesome during this week...

  • This is my Instagram buddy, Royston the Pom, who's Mum is gonna do a walk for Cancer Research in the UK. If you're interested to fight cancer, go and donate :)
  • This is the Flash Mob Video that I did at Huntington Beach on July 4th! Yay!! Finally it's up!!

  • I find this wedding very very cute. I love it.
  • My blog friend, Alex from Louise Amabilis, did this up-cycle of your man's plain ol' t-shirt. I ADORE.
  • If you LOVE scrapbooking (like me!), this is a super cool way to make one. I love the simplicity of it!
  • Mmmm, New York, everybody! Hello. These are some great movies set in NYC.
  • Hahaha... MOONing Amtrak and Metrolink Passengers? Apparently this is a Annual Tradition in Laguna Niguel, CA. This sounds interesting...
  • Who loves State Fair Foods? Gotta love this "deep frieds". Here's another one. Deep Fried Girl Scout cookies? Holla.

Today I'm linking up with Alyx from Every Day is a New Adventure. She does her confessions on Sundays, so I think I'm going to join. Forgive me for I have sinned.
  • After watching Ted, I wish on a falling star to have my stuffed Tiger, Hard Rock, to come alive. He's been my bff since 10. Yes, thunder buddies
  • I have a really bad sweet tooth. So bad that all I think about is cookies and bread. Oh no.
  • I need to stop spending too much time in the shower. Save the water.
  • Also, I need to get a haircut. I waste so much time obsessing over my split ends. Like really really bad. May be in New York? Wooo.
Well, have a great Sunday night and get ready for the week ahead. Meh.

Links I Love Sunday

I can't believe it's Sunday already. *boo* I wish they make it mandatory for 3 day weekends. Life would be so awesome.

Anywhoo, since it's Sunday, I want to share some awesome stuff I found online during the week. Woop.
  • I'm a new follower of this Traveling Nurse blogger. It's one of my dreams to do Travel RN, so by following her journey, hopefully it can convince me to do it.
  • I may be late, but I really want to be BFFs with Todrick Hall. His videos are sooo funny. Of course his Beauty & the Beat Video is a must see. Imagine going to Target and this happens...

  • Since I did that flash mob on July 4th, I've been on youtube just watching mobbers doing their thing. I really, really encourage you to do a Mob once in your lifetime. I joined Flash Mob America (it's free) and they'll inform you on upcoming events. The co-founder, Staci, is so nice. You know she loves what she does. She shed a tear thank us for coming all the way to Huntington Beach, on a holiday, to participate on a flash mob. Love.

  • I love mother Earth. I'm trying my best to be green, but sometimes I forget. I love Polar Bears. And this video made me sad. I really want global warning to stop, because seriously I hate the hot weather. It makes my skin itch and gives me the break-outs. And I hate Car Sauna. Ew.
Imagine if that was you. Roaming around a strange land with people/strangers that destroyed your home due to being irresponsible. I'm trying my best to be more Green. I even donated to the Green Peace. Let's help our mother Earth.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Monday is next. Geez.

  • Saw this DIY project and I really, really want to do it!
  • I'm really diggin' A Beautiful Mess's new look. Swoon.

  • Recently found about Adrian from my blog-friend Alex. Awesome.
  • Isn't this a stunning wedding? Wow. Wedding in a forest with 900 guests? *applause*
  • For people who love to take self-portrait, this article might help. Haha...
  • This is a uber awesome picture to send to people when you're mad.
  • I'm a baker, and taking pictures of my baked goods is challenging, especially I hardly have natural sunlight in my kitchen *sad face*. But this article helps. Now, I dream for a big kitchen with lots of windows!
Any good reads out there? please do share :)
Oh plus plus, I'm planning to do some sponsor/button-swap soon. Any takers?

Links I Love Sunday

Hello!! It's Sunday (already?), which means it's time to share you some links I enjoyed this past week.

  • If you love laughing (who doesn't?) or need some pick me up, watch this.
  • Poor soccer player. Not only he's in pain, he got butt first.
  • I love cupcakes and I want this!
  • This is a really good article about saying thanks to your partner. My favorite part is where he said, "I find that knowing that my efforts have been witnessed and are appreciated makes it much easier to offer my support and my labor as an act of love".
  • Gotta love Goop. Ms. Paltrow-Martin wrote about traveling tips on a plane, and I agree with the fly-fashion. Hmm... Can't wait to plane some vacay time :) PS: don't you love that Air New Zealand's Sky Couch? Envy!
  • Sending some major love to Aesha, the girl from Afghan who was saved and brought to US from her Taliban husband who cut off her nose & ears when she tried to escape from their marriage.
Do you guys have any links to read? Share!

Links I Love Sunday

New Segment :)

I know everyone out there loves to browse around the internet (Umm... isn't it part of life?). If you're friends with me on Facebook (holla!), you probably know that I love to share some links/pictures as part of my statuses. Well, low and behold, I thought, "why not share it too with your blog readers?" Hence I created LiLS. So every Sunday I will post links that I enjoyed reading through out the week with hopes that you will enjoy it too. Yay.
  • Summer is coming up... which means beachy wavy hair :) There are a tons of products out there to create the I-just-came-back-from-the-beach hair, but why not make your own mist? (esp if you are not near the beach!)
  • I am a fan of Iron Man. My friend, Evani, is doing a giveaway at her blog for an Iron Man shot glass. Do it. It ends tomorrow, Monday @ 5PM. Hurry!
  • One of my Sisters and I are planning something, and I recommended these to make as refreshments. Yum.
  • One of my dreams is to attend an Indian wedding. This one is epic. I need an Indian BFF stat.
  • This article about destination weddings on a budget is pretty cool.
  • I am a member of Birchbox and I really recommend this service if you love beauty products. Awesome samples for $10? I'm sold.
  • The Death of Concert Tickets is pretty interesting. I still collect my old ticket stubs. It's part of my life's history.
  • This is pretty awesome. Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky has a vintage RV and goes on road trips with it. I'm jealous.
  • For those who love the Walking Dead, if you live near San Diego, I believe you will enjoy this maze/walk/run-for-your-life event. I'll pass.
And if you're a fan of New Girl, of course you know Schmidt. I've seen this video a while ago, but it never gets old. I need a Schmidt BFF in my life.

moonbeams,
